First, the lid has to be sort of ‘snapped’ onto the jug, which is a good idea, because it stops the lid from falling off when you use the jug, however, I’m not sure how long the lid will last before it breaks due to this. Then there’s the quoted size of “4.2 litres”, I’m not at all sure exactly what that measurement is referring to, as the jug is only large enough to actually hold 1.5 litres or 3 pints of filtered water, which is only just over a THIRD of the advertised measurement! Also, it takes quite a while to actually filter 1.5 litres or 3 pints of water through the filter, as the container in the top of the jug only holds around 1 litre or 2 pints of water itself, so you have to wait for the first 1 litre or 2 pints of water to filter through the filter and into the jug below before you can add the final half a litre or 1 pint! Having said all that however, the jug is quite attractive, it is easier to fit the filter cartridges than my previous Aquaphor water filter jug, which was an absolute pain to change the water filters in! Also, finally, the filtered water is completely clear and free from any sort of contaminants, so it makes lovely coffee, tea and squash! I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying a water filter jug, as the Aquaphor brand is far superior to the other ‘well known’ water filter brands on the market, and their actual water filter cartridges do a far more thorough job at filtering out all impurities and heavy metals in tap water, if you don’t believe me when I tell you this, go and check out some of the water filter cartridge comparisons on the subject in YouTube, it was watching a few of the available videos on YouTube that convinced me to purchase my very first Aquaphor water filter jug several years ago, and I have been very pleased with their performance overall. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Better than the branded *by B***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 on September 30, 2020* i ordered this as my branded one was starting to irritate us with its slowness and its expensiveness it was also more difficult to fill as the hole is smaller. This one is amazing. looks great, wide opening lid to fill and filters very very quickly.
