We have a piano at the house and any child that comes through will always sit down and try their hand. This sheet music makes it easy for them to actually play a song (also bought stickers to label the keys). Book has good variety of well known music with some Christmas and nursery rhymes etc.

The cover of this beginner piano music book is great quality, simple and effective. There are 40 well-known songs and nursery rhymes with simple syllabic sheet music which are easy to follow. Having such common songs is great to support children’s piano skills independently. They can listen for any wrong notes and correct themselves. The book has great quality paper so you can’t see the sheet music from the other side. It is a great beginner’s piano songbook because there is just one page per song making it easy to use and read. There are clear letters above the notes and works with lyrics clearly below at the right note. The notes are clearly spaced out and most sheet music is between 4-5 lines for the page, with a few longer pieces towards the end of the book. Along with the full content page and clear page numbers, I think this makes for a good first piano book for kids and would be a great resource for adults to use when teaching young pianists. Kids would be able to master these tunes quickly and build confidence with reading music thanks to the letter support above the notes.

I bought a few beginner piano books to start teaching my 6 year old daughter piano. This was the best one, and the only one we ended up using. We've been going through it at a casual pace for about 6 months now. I make sure she's solid at a song before she "passes" the song. I had to go through and decide the order of difficulty, since the order in the book isn't quite easiest to hardest. I think they try to make it that way, but it needs some significant reordering. Not a problem though. I usually have her practicing 3 songs at a time. She just practices every other day and I have her play 6 songs, meaning, 3 different songs two times each. It works for her and her level of discipline. We'll hopefully be done with the book in a few months. There are a few songs that we'll skip, but most of them are classics that both kids and adults will recognize. I don't know when kids should start using two hands. This book is entirely the right hand, except maybe one or two songs where you might use the left hand thumb or something. I'll be looking for the next book soon, which was my impetus for writing this up. The other "beginner" books were too short. Or they had a lot of visually noisy, unnecessary colors. Just a lot of fluff that won't help in learning, in my opinion. This was a great book. I plan to use it for my 2 and 4 year old when they're old enough.

My copy of Easy Piano Sheet Music for Kids arrived quickly and is of good quality. The binding should hold up for years of use and bending when needed, and the spine opens easily. This will make turning pages and keeping them open simple for young pianists. I love that each note has the corresponding letter labeled, so there is no second-guessing for my little one. The picture on each page shows what the song is to make it easier to find the song you’re looking for while quickly flipping through the pages, but the pictures are not so big that they are distracting like you will find in other beginner books.

My girls love this book. We were recently gifted a piano and my girls have been wanting to learn to play. I bought this book and they have learned so much already on their own. They love how simple it is to follow and it’s all songs they recognize. I highly recommend.
