While this looks slightly cloudy in the bottle, it dries overnite & looks just like glass, even better! Is NOT resin but is the next best thing. She does not use modge podge, never has even tried it, but many do use. A little Liquid Glass goes a long way AND can be slightly thinned with distilled water...then it is self-leveling. Though likely not recommended, she applies it thick with her bare fingers to avoid any brush stroke marks. Low fumes, easy water cleanup. **Q: Is this product heat resistant?** A: No it's not meant for heat. And will scratch to. **Q: what can i use if this is not available?** A: Only issue was the bottle I received half of it was dried up. So I had to get most of that out of the bottle in order to use it. Worry to reorder it again. I really should have returned it. The other half of it I used I did like the results, put it on thin not thick.
