A great product for professional quality and results.
I purchased the AC Infinity fans to install in a new electronics cabinet I was building to help keep myour systems cool. I purchased both the set that have the controller and an eXtra s9 3 fan unit to use as an air intake. The fans are incredibly well made. The aluminum face plate has a nice brushed metal look to it. NOTHING about the fans or controller feels cheap. I would definitely buy them again. Installation was easy. The fans and the controller come with plastic templates that you can place on the side of the cabinet to mark where to cut. I drilled the 4 corners of my marked out area and used a jigsaw to cut the holes. The entire installation of the 2 fans and controller took about an hour. Operation is simple. The instructions are in English, include pictures, and actually make since. Programming the controller is as simple as pressing the up or down arrow to change your set point temp. You have the option so to set your fans to Auto, on, off, and smart setting. There is also an option to set a temp buffer of 2 or 4 degrees for the fans to turn off once the set point is reached. It's probably one of my favorite settings because the fans don't have to run all the time. The fans are quiet and move a lot of air. There is also an alarm temp setting to alert you if your cabinet is too hot. My only suggestion for anyone purchasing this product is to get some velcro cable ties so you can bundle up the extra wire. The fans come with plenty of cable to reach the fan controller. The cables are standard USB so if you need a longer one a USB extension cable could be used. Overall I am impressed. This is a great product for anyone who wants professional quality and results.

A great investment that runs quiet and is easy to install
I purchased an entertainment center to house my Denon AV amp, DirecTV DVR and Xbox One. What I found out very quickly is that the entertainment center turned into a Pizza oven in about an hour. I saw this product on Amazon and jumped on it. Installation took all of 5 minutes, it comes with a perfectly sized template that I taped on the back of my entertainment center, and then using a sharp utility knife, scored the outline. I ended up being able to finish the cut with the knife because the plywood was relatively thin. It took a bit of patience, but that patience was rewarded with the fan case sliding in perfectly. When I wired up the fans and turned them on, I was surprised to find that 3-120mm case fans made less noise than a PC would make, even on the highest setting. This thing pulls A LOT of air as well. I put a thermometer in my enclosure, used the XBOX for an hour with the amplifier powering my 7.1 speakers as well as acting as an HDMI pass-through for the TV. After all of that action the ambient temperature of the enclosure was only 88 degrees, and the equipment itself was warm to the touch, but not hot like you would expect. An unintended benefit of this system was the USB female plug that comes with it to daisy chain other fans to a single unit. My Denon amp has a reputation for running too hot and burning out the HDMI board, so I bought 2-80mm case fans that run off USB which I normally plug into the front of the receiver. By plugging them in to the Airplate, I can now keep the front less cluttered as well as turn the fans off when the unit isn't in use (the USB on the Denon is always on, even when the unit is powered off) Overall, this was a great investment in my eyes. I will definitely be buying from AC Infinity again. Note that I taped the template to the back of my cabinet just so I wouldn't lose it.

These move a lot of air at low noise and look great
I have an L-shape desk. The under desk area where my legs go and where my PC is would get supper hot while gaming. My PC has plenty of fans but all the hot air would just build up under the desk. In bought the large 3 fan model AIRPLATE S9, followed the instructions to reverse the fans (so it pulls air, not push it), and installed it under my desk vertically right behind my PC. AMAZING difference. I was thinking about upgrading my homes AC ducts to deal with the heat, for $50 this solved my issue. I plug the fans directly into the a USB 3 port on the back of my PC, while this provides less power than using the included wall adapter it does provide enough power so that on the medium speed setting it keep my PC (and me) very cool, produces noise so low that I cannot hear it over my PC case fans, and it powers on and off with my PC (when my PC shuts down power to that USB port shuts off). On the hutch shelf of my desk I have a few external USB3 HDDs that would get too hot for comfort. I used to solve this by resting some USB powered case fans on top of them, which worked to keep them cool but didn’t’ look great. This Airplate S9 worked so good under my desk that I bought another one for my shelf. Again I have it plugged into my PC via usb extension so it powers on and off with the PC. On the low setting it provides enough airflow to keep my HDDs cool and produces very little noise. I highly highly recommend this product. Do set yourself a few hours for the install if you need to make a cut out. It will vary depending on what tools you have, how handy you are, and how cramped your work area is based on where your installing the fans, but installation can be challenging but it is worth it.

Easy install, reduced temperatures and noise!
Just got the AC Infinity AIRPLATE T7 w/ Thermostat Control with an AIRPLATE S9 (one for inlet, the other outlet). Used them to convert a closet into a ventilated computer server closet (I was forced to leave the door open all the time and even then it still got to hot). I decided to go this route instead of the hundreds for a 19" rack because in the end it will still be an eyesore to look at and noisy! It's cooling the 3 machines without any problem which run at 100% CPU load 100% of the time. They come in black only so I decided to paint them white to match the door. The design of the system is very simple and very effective. Pros: * Easy install, pre-cut plastic templates included, about 2 hours for all 3 combined (took my time). * Simple cabling design, only 1 power source, daisy chainable should I want to add more. * Solid build quality, look good and they make it easy to replace/upgrade fans. * Noise reduction, no longer have to leave the door open, sure you can still hear noise but much less. Cons: * Included manual is actually really good, however it does miss how to change the brightness level. This is literally the only thing I can find to "complain" about and the answer was only a search away. * Probably a bit on the expensive side, but considering it just works, doesn't phone home and I doubt they sell millions of them (though they should) I'm not complaining. All in all, for me, it turned out to be one of those feel good projects because every thing worked as expected, no hiccups, and a really nice outcome. Rarely will I write a review let alone take pictures, but here you have it. The before (door open), black (factory) and finally in white. Not sure why amazon is flipping the pictures sideways? Updated: I tried to contact support for a simple question about voltages and switching fans and never got a response, however they had no problem asking for me to give another positive review. So I wouldn't say I'm mad, but certainly not happy with their support. At any rate allow me to do their job for them. You CAN upgrade to regular PC fans (standard 120mm) but note that USB power is only 5v and the supplied wall adapter is only 6.5V so your fans wont spin fast. However my question was if it was OK to use a 12v supply. So I took a gamble and have been using a 12v 2a adapter just fine for a couple weeks. I did try a 13v but that was to much and caused the control unit to flash on and off (no good). I did also have to turn down the brightness on the control unit because it was way to bright @ 12v. Anyway, good luck folks, I really like these things!

Worth adding to any electronics cabinet.
I needed to exhaust warm air out of my home theater cabinet and this item looked like it would fit the bill. Quality of manufacture and packaging was excellent. Fan noise at medium speed is only perceptible when the home theater audio is off. The only downside to their implementation is that I needed to reverse the airflow and had to take the unit apart and flip the fans around for my use case. A simple DC switch could have been added to make it five star. Be that as it may, I would purchase again.

Simple, effective cabinet ventilation that just works
I’m using the AC Infinity AirPlate S9 at the rear of my TV cabinet, paired with an AIRCOM T9 on top of a Denon AVR. The two link together easily and work exactly as intended — drawing hot air out of the cabinet and keeping temperatures under control. Build quality is excellent and feels solid. Installation is straightforward, and one thing I really like is how easy it is to reverse the fan direction depending on whether you want to exhaust hot air or pull cool air in. Once installed it’s unobtrusive, quiet, and does its job without any fuss. When paired with the AIRCOM controller, it becomes a really effective cooling solution for enclosed AV cabinets. Highly recommended if you need reliable ventilation in a cabinet or rack.

Cannot go wrong with this.
I bought a new TV cabinet to hold all my devices which included a Gaming PC, PS4, Set top box, Audio amp, router, modem. I know, a lot of devices in a cabinet with no proper ventillation led to the obvious outcome - all my devices began to over heat. After searching around, I settled for the Ac Infinity Airplate S9 fans as it was compact with dimensions that would fit perfectly in my cabinet. Got the fan in 2 days after ordering and installed it in less than 20 minutes. Yes, while installing, I had to ensure the fans served as an exhaust. Before I mention anything about the performance of the fan, I should say I was impressed with the quality of the materials used in the construction of the fans. It has an all metal body and the face place has a brushed metal look. Now to the performance of the fan. The 3 fans in S9 are really good. They can draw a lot of air out. No longer do the devices in my cabinet overheat when these fans are turned on. Oh, these fans are super quiet too. Overall I like the asthetics and performance of this fan and would recommend it to any one looking to purchase this. PS: I paid full price for this fan and am not affliated in any manner to the company.

Quiet, durable, just works.
High quality fan, I have had AC Infinity airplates run non stop for years without issue. And they run quiet too.

It’s quiet and moves air
Solidly built and easily converts from push to pulling air. The fans are very quiet, ideal if you are using in a media or av cabinet.

Quiet and cooling
Easy install. It runs very quiet and moves a lot of air. I have no difficulty keeping the cabinet cool now with it running at setting 1 of 3 . I opted not to go with the temperature controlled system as I don't need it cycling on and off. The units this is cooling are on and running all the time. Good device.

Only One Direction of Airflow Not Ideal. There Should be Two Outflow and Inflow to cabinet
I have two of this items. They are good fans. But I would have preferred that it comes with option of two airflow directions. One blowing into a cabinet and one sucking it out of the cabinet. It took me about 30 -60 min to reverse the flow direction. This could easily have been done using a switch or simply hard wiring during the assembly and labeling it properly. Please vote this feature request up if you think this is needed. Thanks. Ric
