This new edition showcases captivating work by emerging artists on the street photography scene, updated advice on Instagram, and a foreword by leading street photographer Matt Stuart. Review: Lost your mojo? Get this book! - This is a great book, and not just for street photography. It covers overviews of successful street togs - mainly contemporary ones rather than the big names from the past - and sections on various techniques, based on the author's work. Although "street" is the focus of the book, you can use these techniques much more widely eg shooting friends and family, travel etc. What you don't get is guidance on what kit to use, what aperture, post processing etc. There are no rules, it's all about what works for you. Review: A must for the aspiring street photographer. - A must for every enthudiat for the genre.

A good quality book
I have only read up to page 31 and so far I am very impressed the quality of the printing is excellent, I mention the quality of printing because I recently purchased a book on black and white photography that has very good reviews for its content however it is printed on thin paper and the reproduction of the photos suffer as a result. With the Street photographer's manual the pages are quite thick and the photos are reproduced with a quality that I have not seen for several years. I am not a very good street photographer, hence the purchase of the book. The photo on page 2 (for me) made the purchase of this book worthwhile and "if" one day I can produce a photo nearly as good then it really will have been money well spent!

Great Book For Anybody Interested in Street Photography
I'm half way through the book and so far so good. Street photography is my favourite discipline, but I also find it the most difficult! So far what I've read and dipped into has given me some great ideas and tips to succeed in this field. I'm also learning a lot about the legal aspects of street photography which has been hugely helpful as I didn't really have a clue about privacy issues etc. The book is nicely written and easy to follow. When taking photographs on the street I'm often questioning whether or not it actually is street photography - some of my work that I thought was street photography isn't and what I thought wasn't, is! I'm looking forward to reading the other half and can't wait to get back out there with some added knowledge.

A worthy buy for photographers
Really good book. I found instagram too distracting for proper photography research hence I bought the book. It is really living up and satisfying.

Top class book on street photgraphy
I have been an amatuer street photographer for many years and I'm happy to say this book exceeded my expectations. Great photos and background to many established photographers. Highly recommend and will be a good reference book for street photographers to research.

Excellent all round book for anyone at all interested in the subject
Although this is called a “manual” its much more a discussion of ideas and styles rather than lots of “how to” instructions. There are many short profiles too of significant exponents of the genre with super examples of their work. I think anyone interested in street photography in its broadest sense would enjoy reading through and studying the many examples in this book at their leisure.
