Great quality transformer, works well, no noise, durable (and in Southwest Florida, just off the beach, that’s saying something (2 years old…it probably will eventually corrode, but it’s the salt air…that can’t be helped, so, I’d call it durable, so far. Power supply is just right, and constant. Designed and wired just like all the others.

This is a bare bones transformer, but does have multiple voltage taps that permit adjustment for long and short runs, and differing load sizes. Easy to wire and install. Supply your own external photocell or timer.

If you buy this you will need to have some wiring skills it’s not a plug and play do you need your own cord similar to when you buy a garbage disposal If you have basic wiring skills it’s a solid unit and a great price I personally have mine hooked up to a smart switch which gives me the flexibility of timer and all the functions of a smart switch this is a no-brainer work great for me long distance wire runs I will definitely buy again

This product has been install for 4 months and it no longer works. It receive appropriate input electricity but does not transform anything out, 12V 12V or 14v. My window for return ended thirty days after I purchased it and I have no return recourse. Buyer beware. 1 Star is the lowest rating I could give, would prefer no stars. Update: After being unable to return the device to Amazon I contacted the company, DEWENWILS about my failed transformer. They were great to work with, had me run some test and when I did and told them the transformer failed the test they sent me a new one. They followed up with me and made sure the new one works and is ok. It was a pleasure dealing with them. For their great service I updated the rating.

Works as advertised. Using it for low voltage lighting at about 1/2 capacity. Would not call it 100% silent but it is pretty quiet and mounted in a place that no one will ever notice the slight buzz. Might get quieter once it is one for a bit. I have an older one that looks identical that is much louder but it’s been working for 10-12 years with no issue. Comes on every night for 4 hours or so.

Very well made. Used for a 300 Watt 12 Volt pool light. Replaced a unit that was over 35 years old. Heavy and well made. Many knockout holes for easy connections. This one has a circuit breaker on the inside of the unit that will require opening the unit in case it tripped. Nice feature - the old one did not have it.

Very nice transformer. Well built and easy to wire. It's a little heavy but that's okay. Once set on the wall, it was easy to do the wiring. There is a template you can use to set the screws so when you hang the unit the process was easy.

Had this Dewenwils transformer for a few weeks and it is working great. No hum, and living up to the 300w expectation. Like the versatility of offering 12, 13, or 14 volt outputs.

I bought this unit to replace my Aqua Lamp transformer, which power my pool lights. A new Aqua Lamp box retails for between $450 and $500, and individual transformers (two are required) can be bought for about $100 each. I was looking for a reliable, more economical solution! My total investment for all components was about $150. This is a sturdy casing that seems to be well equipped to withstand the elements. I bought 3/4" wiring inserts to put into the knockouts - 1/2" would have fit, but when I tried to knock out the 1/2" hole, the 3/4" one released, so I used it, Set-up was easy - quick plug attachment to the 120V terminal in the box. In the low-voltage side, I had to use Marette's to join THREE, as I had two lights on the circuit plus the leads from the transformer. There is not a ton of room in the low voltage compartment, so you need to be a bit careful about binding and packing the wires back into the space. I think if you have more than two lights, you will have to get a bit creative! The system is performing perfectly - I have the 120V plug going into a timer that comes on at dusk. Very happy and would recommend this product for similar applications - much more cost-effective than replacing the original transformer with the same brand.

Seems to work well and the price was fair for the product as it can be Ron with 12-14 volts. However the cover has started to rust. Works well but the cover is very unsightly now.

Does not come with plug for outlet. Needs to be purchased separately and attached.
