Weeping White Spruce - Picea glauca 'Pendula' 3 - Year Plant

Looked fine all summer but did not make it through the winter. My tree was so small. Probably would have picked something else if I’d have known just how small it was.

I bought two different trees. One weeping spruce and another weeping cedar. They are both healthy and vibrant trees that I know will have no problem growing in my garden. They have had extra good care, I can tell! The pot it came in is almost as good as the tree. Not quite closed on the bottom, so it makes it easy to push up and out without disturbing the tree. Very happy.

I ordered two weeping white spruces. The trees sent do not appear robustly healthy, and one is clearly struggling. Based on my experience Ofer the years with the spruce variety, I do not feel these will make it longer than a few months, if that. Definitely not at all what I would expect for the price I paid for these two trees.

I bought 3 weeping white spruces in 2021. They were quite tiny when I received them. Out of the three, two made it and are doing very well and have grown considerably. The summer was very hot that year so I felt fortunate that two made it. I ordered four more of them this year (2023) and am hoping for great success.

This plant was very small, approximately 12", with just a few small branches. The vendor indicated that the tree shown is 40 years old in a subsequent email. Definitely, not worth the $64 it cost. If this is all it has grown under ideal conditions in 3 years, I won't live long enough to see it become the one pictured. They have refused to date to allow me to return it for a refund.

The Weeping White Spruce threes were everything I expected. They arrived healthy and ready for planting. They are in the ground now and doing well.

The description does say that it is 6-12 inches, but theres nothing more disappointing than receiving it (all in all it was 8 inches. This includes the leader) with 3 little shoots and 2 of them broken. Yes, broken. It was delivered in a priority mail box 12x14x3 with only a packing slip. I gave it 2 stars because it looked kind of healthy and Im hoping what looks a little dry is because they're broken. Why not put in a little newspaper in guys? something? anything? Poor little sprout must have been rolling around in there.
