Excellent piece of equipment

As you can see from the photos, I've cheaped out a little over the years on mice. I think the others are all in the same price range or perhaps even a little more expensive than this Logi one. I had a similar logi to this one before I bought the cheapo ones and loved it for the battery life and fit. Unfortunately I dropped it and thought I'd "upgrade" with more ergonomic versions. The cheap ones all had little niggles that made them ultimately unusable. I'm a 'casual user'; I don't game, I'm an editor an use Excel and Word all day every day. I don't need programmable buttons. I had them on my other mice, but found they were a bit of a gimmick for me as I always use keyboard shortcuts. Hygiene All important nowadays! Hopefully you'll see from the photos that the red mouse's scroll wheel is ridged, and that filled with dead skin (gross, but that's life!) and that meant that after a year the scrolling on webpages was jumping all over the place and it was unbearable. I couldn't clean it as it was impossible to take it apart without breaking it. There are also lots of crevices in extra buttons and on the Logi, there are no unnecessary patterns that also collect skin and germs etc. Just smooth, contoured surfaces that are really comfy and tactile. Scroll wheel can't accumulate dirt, so should last long. Feel and size This is full size so suitable for all day use. The blue mouse in the photos is slightly compact and too small for me to use all day. It would leave me with cramp. My palms are 9cm wide and I take an L size in gloves (European sizes). This fits perfectly. Very, very comfortable to rest my hand on. Sounds Not super loud clicks or scrolling, very subtle, so suitable for use in a quiet office! I get very self conscious about clicking around and making lots of noise on my mouse, but perhaps that's just me! Battery life and connectivity I haven't had the chance to test 18-month claim, but my previous Logi went TWO YEARS without a battery change! That is incredible. I turned it off at the weekends, but other than that it was on the whole time. I can believe this will last as long. Packaging The only downside and why I knocked off one star. Look at the photos...I think we was a race are well past these kind of horrible plastic packaging, aren't we? Just put it in a small, recycled cardboard box like everyone else! I snapped this plastic getting the mouse out and it left a very sharp edge. I can't keep the 'box' either as it's such an odd shape it won't stack anywhere. Could do much, much better. Final thoughts For me, a mouse should be a buy and forget item. I'm annoyed that I've had to buy two mice inside of 18 months, whereas my previous Logi went 2/3 years before I dropped it and broke it. It did the job and I never thought about it until it was gone. Now THAT is good design! Highly recommended. Buy cheap, buy twice, but in this case, the cheap mouse is from a reputable company, so go right ahead!

Works well never had any connection problems and fits my hand nicely, only downside would be the feet on the bottom of the mouse have more friction and are louder then some other mouses I've had (used the same mouse pad)

Using it now as I write this and handy to avoid a trailing wire from laptop to mouse. Still on original battery despite repeatedly forgetting to switch it off (no indication and switch is underneath). Very comfortable, fits in the hand well and never misses a beat with no issue with left, right or wheel switches.

Works well now I've figured it out. To help those even less techie than me, hope this helps. There's a small USB stick under the battery cover next to the battery and that plugs into your PC/laptop. In my defence, I've not used a wireless device before! Looking again, there is a diagram on the flap of the box but not very clear.

There's not much to this - it's a mouse with the usual two buttons and a scroll wheel (actually there's a third button on the wheel that can be used for "auto scrolling"). The buttons aren't configurable and as stated, only two, so why five stars ? Well it is a "full size" mouse so is comfortable for larger hands and it's not handed so equally comfortable for left and right handed users (unlike so many). It moves smoothly round the desk and does what it's built to do, i.e. go to a point and click on it, well. The feel is of a device costing much more, unlike most ten quid a pop mice. It also has auto power down for a long (>1year) battery life. I've never had it not wake up the instant I touch it so that's another plus, with no negative point. More than basic functions required ? Then this isn't for you. If you're looking for a basic mouse and don't want a shrunken travel model and/or are left handed then this is a no brainer for around a tenner. Much better than I expected, hence 5 stars.

Perfect large size for all-day use.

I've used loads of Logitech products over the years and so had high hopes for this replacement mouse. Unfortunately, and despite fiddling around with USB receiver ports, mouse setting etc., the mouse will randomly turn a single click into a double click. This results in an unwanted action and I've almost lost work because of it. So, off to "mouse heaven" it goes while I source a better quality replacement.

The mouse isn’t too big, yet not too small. Works pretty well and the key travel time isn’t a lot.

Quando ho comprato il pc (MacBook Air 2020 M1) scelsi sempre qui su Amazon un mouse ricaricabile, prezzo uguale a questo ma marca cinese. (lo trovate ancora, quello lucido, piatto con le lucine) Riuscita terribile, per carità ha sempre funzionato ma era piccolo, scomodo, e soprattutto inaffidabile. una volta la carica durava 3 giorni una volta mezzo, una volta si collegava istantaneamente al bluetooth e 10 dopo cento riavvii, puntatore che andava a scatti e fuori controllo. Oltre al fatto scomodissimo di avere la porta di ricarica microusb, praticamente dovevo avere un cavo utilizzabile solo per quel mouse... Così dopo 4 anni di punizione auto inflitta (odio buttare cose quasi funzionanti) ho deciso di mandarlo in pensione a favore di questo qui. Tutta un'altra storia, questo è giustamente grande, dal giusto peso, puntatore umano, si collega da solo senza che stia a pregarlo, non si scarica, ammesso che lo faccia ci metto un'altra pila invece di rimanere senza (quello sotto carica non funzionava). Mi volete dire che non ha il clic silenzioso come l'altro? Miseria, era il suo unico pregio, non è una cosa così importante, alla fine non è neanche lontanamente rumoroso come quelli che vendevano a 40 euro 10 ani fa. Ci gioco pure a LOL senza il minimo problema e come potete vedere dalla foto va benissimo anche sulla tovaglia in PVC, io sono soddisfatta e lo consiglio.
