Works with Rock Band drums
I worried after ordering this because the description and FAQ state specifically that the adapter does not work with RB or Guitar Hero instruments. I’m happily able to report that this is not the case. It’s super easy to install and you don’t need any special drivers out side of the generic MS drivers. Just plug it into any open USB port that fits and install the generic XBox wireless adapter drivers. In my case, the adapter immediately synced with my Rock Band drum kit. It seems to work perfectly in all of the games I’ve tried so far (Rock Band, RB2, and track packs). I have had to configure my game pad/instrument button mapping for some of the games, but I haven’t noticed any latency so I haven’t had to calibrate my monitors. It may or may not be as good as the official Microsoft adapter, but it’s much less expensive, if you can even find one for sale. The fit is great as it simply plugs into any open USB ports and connects with the PC after driver installation. Time will tell how it holds up durability wise, but for now, I am a happy gamer.

Works great to connect xbox 360 wireless devices to new computers, steam deck, and more!
Got my old xbox 360 guitar hero games to work with my steam deck. Easy setup, compact size, and has a great range. Latency issues are very easy to fix with software, but had minimal if any affect on the use of the device for my needs.

Does not work for my Xbox 360 scuf controller, awful instructions and driver installation
Does not work for my Xbox 360 scuf controller. It is an xbox 360 controller which I used wirelessly on my Xbox 360. Yet this adapter does not worth. This isn’t the worst part, I spent over 5 HOURS trying to get this to work, following the instrusctions, watching the instructions video, troubleshooting, asking chat gpt for help. I literally tried everything. It just doesn’t work, maybe for a basic controller it might but I don’t even have one of those to even try out. Regardless the entire point was to use my scuf on my PC, so I will be returning this. My first ever return actually. What a huge waste of my time, energy, and a massive amount of stress for no good reason. The tutorial video was in Chinese text, with a robot voice. There is NO instructions on the box except a QR code that sends you to a GOOGLE DOCUMENT… This is the most sketchy and unprofessional thing I’ve seen sold on Amazon. I took my pictures after I stuffed the thing back in the box, but it’s just a usb cable with a little super light weight dongle on the end, feels like it was made for $1 at most. I also forgot, the files they gave don’t even download properly, I had to download the files from somewhere else (the xusb21.sys/.inf/.cat) I guess I learned some stuff about drivers and editing files but otherwise what a waste of time

Works great!
Bought this in order to use my Xbox 360 Rock Band instruments with Clone Hero on a pc. Connection was a breeze, just plugged it in and added the Xbox 360 wireless adapter driver built into Windows and I instantly connected after pairing my guitar. This also works well for using Xbox 360 controllers with my gaming setup. I noticed no lag, since Rock Band/Guitar Hero/Clone Hero is pretty obvious if there is lag. The usb cord maybe didn’t need to be quite as long as it is, but whatever, I think this thing is great!

Okay product that's much cheaper than the Microsoft version
The original product review is below, but since that review I was able to replace the product and the second iteration works quite a bit better.. There is still some general wonkiness with not pairing, so I wouldn't want to really rely on this product much, but it *does* work with my Steam Link and Windows 10. If you do get a bad product, try sending it back and see if the replacement works any better. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I bought this as a cheaper to replace the insanely expensive microsoft adapter I had for my steam link that went bad. Plugging into the steam link, you can get the light flash, but when my controllers were put in pairing mode, none of them worked. I thought maybe this was a steam link issue so I tried plugging it into my windows 10 PC. I followed the instructions on the product page but I wasn't able to get to the point where I could select the Xbox 360 driver (see photos). Also, the adapter refuses to stay in pairing mode if you try to pair too many times it seems. The light will blink once and then go back to being solid.

Works on Linux and Rock Band guitar
Despite saying it only works on Windows and does not support Rock Band controllers, this worked on Linux (Debian with KDE Plasma) with zero setup, and my Rock Band guitar connected no problem. After latency calibration (normal amounts for my setup), jumped right in to Clone Hero with no issues.

How to install driver without download
Works with Xbox 360 wireless Guitar Hero guitars on PC. Don’t need to download the driver: with the device plugged in, go to Device Manager -> right click unknown device -> Update driver -> Browse my computer for drivers -> at the bottom “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer” -> Xbox 360 peripherals -> Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows -> select Yes to driver compatibility warning (Windows can’t verify it will work with the hardware because it doesn’t know what it is, we are telling it) -> Done! Then single press button on device to go into pairing and then set controller to pairing and it should connect. I have confirmed that two guitars will pair and work simultaneously.

Buen producto

Works perfectly with XBox360 Guitar Hero!
I still have my old guitar from the heady days of playing Guitar Hero on Xbox 360 with my family. After reading about people managing to get the games working on PC along with Clone Hero, I figured I'd try this. The device is just a small black box connected to your PC via the attached USB cable. Once I'd set up the drivers for Windows 10 (see below), I connected the guitar and loaded Clone Hero. Everything just worked and within five minutes of connecting this receiver I was playing. I know from reading comments online that some people have had issues with lag when playing Clone Hero with a wireless controller like the guitar I have. However, I had no problems with this at all. Clone Hero does have settings you can tweak to mitigate this. In terms of trying to get the original Guitar Hero games working, I haven't yet tried. Clone Hero is a native Windows app and so doesn't require any kind of emulation to work. In terms of the hardware and performance, I cannot fault this little device. Once the drivers were set up, it just worked without any further need of configuration. If you use Windows 10 and want to use this, here's how I got it working. It takes less than two minutes: The drivers for this should be already available in Windows. Plug the receiver into a USB port. Open Control Panel. Open Device Manager. Look down the list for 'Other Devices', 'Unknown Device' or similar. It will be the one with a yellow triangle icon against it. Right click this entry and select 'Update Driver'. Select 'Browse my computers for drivers'. Then select 'Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer'. You should then see a list of Xbox 360 devices. Select the one labelled 'Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows' and click 'Next'. You'll then get a warning popup about installing unverified drivers. Click 'Yes'. The drivers should then install and you're good to go.
