Lavender Lemon

Product reviewed: Pit Putty lemongrass & teatree deodorant: Took me a few days to get used to using it, (how much to use and how best to apply it), but I've found it really works and I like the smell of it. It's very firm in the tin, so you need to rub it on your hands to loosen it up and then apply it to your underarms with you hands - much like you do with a hard wax hair product. You don't need much and I think it would be very sticky if you put too much on, but you do need enough that it goes on smoothly. So a new experience for me, but I like the product - it works well and it does seem to last all day.

I’ve been using pit putty for about 6 years and will never go back to normal deodorant. It’s the only natural deodorant I’ve tried that actually works all day. My favourite scents are rose geranium and the lavender one.

Good aroma, nice tin, recyclable. Compact. Four stars because I find the formula of this a bit to thick & waxy. I've used other deodorant from pots/jars , but this is quite hard to get onto your fingers and, it needs a bit longer on fingers / on skin , armpits for it to be soft to be spread, applied to the underarms. It's a shame really as it makes it bit fiddly to apply. I don't think I'd buy this brand again but only because of it being a bit too thick & " waxy" like.

Was initially wary about this but thought I would give it a try. So glad I did wouldn’t use anything else now. Rather than masking BO it stops it from occurring. It’s easy to use, comes in a handy environmentally friendly tin and lasts for ages. The smell is gorgeous and I have used it for working out and still smell great afterwards. Clothes smell better too. I’m on my second tin and I’m recommending to all my friends to try it.

The smell is nice, and it’s not gritty and applies quite nicely, if a little gummy - but that’s the problem. It stays feeling sticky, and I’m aware of a sticky feeling all the time. After a few days I started to get redness in the creases, which became sore and uncomfortable. I’d previously been using a gritty natural deodorant so am aware that these are not antiperspirants, but the pit putty was less effective as a deodorant, uncomfortably sticky all day (not wet or sweaty), and ultimately made my armpits red and sore. I note that it lists a type of wax in the ingredients - I wonder if that was the problem ingredient. Update - I’ve gone back to the orange and bergamot active version from the natural deodorant company, it smells great, is less gritty than the ‘clean’ version, and my sore armpits are once again healed.

Beautiful fragrance, easy to use, great packaging but was a bit disappointed as it didn't last as long as my usual deodorant

Lovely scent this vegan deodorant is made of Shea butter. Scoop a tiny amount out from the tin and either melt it between your Fingers and apply it to your armpits or apply it directly to your am pits and wait for it to melt before rubbing it in. It’s made of organic ingredients smells delicious and lasts all day. It’s environmentally friendly and I love finding new ways to use the tin afterwards, no plastic!!!

It smells nice until you actually sweat. I would put this on in the morning and my armpits would smell terrible a couple of hours later. This does not happen with ‘regular’ deodorant. Would not recommend.
