IronWolf Pro Hard NAS SATA Internal Hard Drive 6Gb/s

I've had this in operation now for a couple of months. So far — so good. No complaints and I'm good at finding fault. It makes a very soft thunking sound, presumably when it's seeking; it almost sounds like thunder at a great distance. Spins down when the computer sleeps and only takes a couple of seconds to spin back up. Fingers crossed that it stands up for the long haul. It's lovely to have this much storage since I don't believe in the cloud or its wannabees.

Boasts 1.2 million hours MTBF, my drive is toast after only 4 years. If that's acceptable variance between units, then I definitely won't be buying Ironwolf again.

Have already the WD40EFZX inside NAS and, if do not take into account the low performance, it is absolutely silent in compare to the ST8000NE001. Nevertheless, I reduced the loudness of disk a bit by anti-vibration plates under station and doing indexing during the day, instead of night (as was before).
