There’s no on/off switch. It’s not an issue for me since it’s part of a pedal board that I move to gigs. Is NUX actively working on a solution?** A: Hi! I've read reviews over a year old that warn of this same problem. Because I had the problem a couple months ago, I'm inclined to think NUX has not made it a priority to fix. Not sure, but that's how it appears. I bought a 2nd NUX Optima pedal that I left plugged in and on at home, and after enough hours, it exhibited the same noise problem. As with the first Optima Air (which I returned,) the noise, once it starts can be affected by turning the treble control. Turning the treble pot changed the quality of the crackle and would make a BOOM sound at a certain point in the pot's sweep. This was true of both my first Optima Air, and also the second one I bought (both new...) Once it started making its noise, I worked the treble pot back and forth many many times. After a while, the crackling and BOOM settled down, got quieter with each pass, and then stopped. This is the sort of operation you might try with a very old pot...maybe with some contact cleaner. Impurity on the manufacturing process? Dust? Who knows, but I was able to get the noise to lesson and then go away entirely by working the treble pot back and forth, over and over...until whatever noise-encouragin impurity was finally worked away. Since then, I've used the pedal with NO ISSUES. It has worked fine for me for many gigs. NUX ought to be ashamed, or, barring that (or fixing it), at very least include this solution in their troubleshooting/solutions. The clarity/thoroughness of their documentation is content for a whole other review... Hope this helps! **Q: Can i use a standard boss power supply with the nux optima air ?** A: I don't know, I bought the NUX ACD-006A for my Optima.
