Review: Affordable & highly performing - I write reviews on items really really awesome or really really NOT awesome. This one from KEF (like the new small kef sub in the pic) is really really awesome. I have the transmitter connected to my sonos amp in a cabinet which is in a closet in a different part of the house. The receiver perfectly connects to kef amp into a special input and can be screwed in so it is secure. The signal is strong and it works flawlessly. Awesome way to go wireless.
Review: Excellent - If you’re like me, you have members of your family that hate wires. This solution was simple and easy to use and there is NO significant difference in sound quality. It’s great to be able to move the sub around the room to find its best location. It’s a win-win for my house. I keep the sub and the spouse loses the wires.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is there a lfe on the transmitter or will I need to buy a rca splitter**
A: It came with all needed cables, including a Y cabld

**Q: what is it cost???**
A: I paid $199 USD

**Q: No led light on the receiver can't get it to connect the sender flashes but the little guy is not lighting up?**
A: make sure all adapters are connected properly. The subwoofer out of your AV receiver must be connected to the line in of the wireless adapter and make sure it's powered up. How far apart is your subwoofer from your AV receiver?

**Q: Does this work with Kplisch Subwoofer?**
A: It certainly will not. The wireless receiver uses a proprietary connector on the back of the subwoofer.

### ⭐ KEF KW1 missing KEY correct cable
*by G***. on March 12, 2026*

Get out a magnifying glass to read the instructions for this device and the KEF speakers and stands. Also, it was purchased to connect KEF LS50W speakers with the KEF KC62 subwoofer. Shockingly, the Y cable that comes with the KEF KW1 that is supposed to connect the transmitter to the speakers does not work! The Y cable has two male connectors at the top of the "Y" and a single female connector on the stem, but the problem is that the LS50W speaker requires a male connector at the bottom of the "Y" stem to go into the "Sub" input on the LS50W. How in the world does KEF manufacture and sell a product to work with speakers and a subwoofer that cost nearly $5,000 with the wrong component? Shame on them, and I'm considering returning the purchase due to the stupidity of this manufacturer. I'm appalled that I either now need to purchase an additional component to get the subwoofer to work or go through the hassle of packing everything up (speakers, stands, subwoofer) and lug it back to Whole Foods to return it. But I dislike giving money to incompetent companies, and I'm feeling as if KEF is incompetent. BTW, why doesn't KEF include YouTube videos on its site to provide instructions for those who can't read the miniscule type on their product manuals?
