Review: Easy install! - These were super easy to install. The hardest part was getting the stock bolts out of my FJ. But I sprayed WD-40 on them and they came loose. Very sturdy and looks great!

Very easy to install. It comes with Bolts, lock washers and flat washers. You have 6 bolts on the FJ frame already, I ended up using the new bolts in the package, they are longer and have bigger head than the original ones. And, mine is 2014. I would recommend this product very confidently.

**Q: Are they designed with sufficient tolerance to act as a jack point?**
A: The vehicle's jack points are not obstructed by these Nerf Bars. If you're asking about jacking the truck by putting the jack under the bar instead of the factory jack point (or other frame location), I would say no. The mounting system of the bars is more than adequate for people to use for entering and exiting the vehicle, but not enough to support the weight of the truck on a jack. I hope that answers your question.

**Q: Will these fit a 2008 FJ?**
A: Yes, they go right into the factory holes on the FJ.  Because they're steps they hang low, so you probably will hit them on rocks if you go offroad with them. Had to take mine off to keep from damaging the body. But they looked nice.

**Q: Do these running boards provide any protection, for example, do you find they give extra " bumper" space on the side from car doors?**
A: No, they aren't high enough to provide protection from someone else slamming their car door into your car.  They are functional only in that they assist a person to get into the vehicle.  Great product.

**Q: We they install on my 2014 FJ if it has rock rails already?**
A: I'm not sure or familiar given the rock rails situation but there are factory pre-drilled screw holes which make it a very easy install. You should check to see if the current installed rock rails are utilizing the factory pre-drilled holes or otherwise will impede the installation before you purchase.. the best I could do good luck
