Was exactly what I was looking for to help my 8 year old see where she needs to pay more attention to brushing. Product came in a sealed box with clear instructions on the back. It will initially turn your whole mouth purple, but instructions say to rinse a couple of times to see red and blue areas specifically on teeth. Haven't had any problem with staining on the sink either. We usually have the water running when you spit, and tissue ready to wipe any splashes. Will purchase again if needed...even if to just have on hand to do surprise checks every now and then.

Works as expected, my teeth turned blue and showed where the plaque is and I saw some spots I miss while brushing so it's great! The only thing I didn't like was that my tongue stayed blue for a while and my spit was blue for the rest of the day.

I decided to buy these to gauge my own teeth health and I am so glad that I did because my teeth are way cleaner than I thought! I followed the directions and found that I have no old plaque and just missed a few spots after that morning’s somewhat lazy brushing. I thought my teeth would be all purple, honestly, despite the fact that they feel so smooth most of the time. Nope, I’m doing a good job keeping them clean and that is peace of mind worth the investment. They shipped from England so they took a little while by Amazon standards but took less time than was expected. If you’re not wanting the two-tone go with another brand but I wanted that so decided the wait was worth it. I purchased surgical steel metal dentals tools to clean with these guides and found that I didn’t need them as much as I thought but the two in conjunction work well. You will spit pink for a little while. I found that my tongue scraper helped to get some of the color off my tongue but it still very much looks like I ate a heavily-dyed popsicle hours later. The taste was fine by me, almost pleasant when not knowing what to expect.

My kids didn't like the weird taste but they thought it was cool to see if they did a good job brushing! One of my daughters has a hard time with not avoiding her wiggly teeth that are about to fall out, so we used it to show her that not doing that also hurts the teeth around it. The whole family tried this together. After reading reviews I decided to try 1/4 tablet for each of my 6 year olds and a half tablet for my husband and me. That was plenty, our mouths were coated! Two of us came up clean, two of us had some spots (Including me, oops. Turns out I was brushing my molars excellently but slacking on my front teeth.) We didn't have any issues with staining, just rinse it off right after.

This tablet is exactly like what the dentist used to give out when I was a kid. My kids and I all did it and it did highlight areas that we were missing. Very messy! Spit in the toilet instead of the sink to avoid staining your sink. You will need to brush a LOT, mostly your very purple tongue, afterwards, to get it all off. Probably won't be doing it again anytime soon, but it's nice to have to threaten the kids with! I wouldn't buy a very big pack to start off with though.

Was having trouble getting my dd to brush properly. Remembered these from elementary school and had to try. After reading the reviews i knew we had to follow the package directions closely. She chewed it til her mouth was full of dark blue die. My idea to keep my white sink from getting stained was to run water while she spit it out, then rinsed her mouth out 3 to 4 times. The sink was not stained at all. It worked exactly as described. She realized her brushing was not enough. Success

I use these mainly with my children to let them see where they need to spend more time brushing. I like that it shows both old and new plaque so I can tell when my children have not brushed at all! Warning, these tabs can get messy turning your entire mouth a dark blue which reminds me of an ink spill. Even though these tabs require a lot of rinsing and brushing to remove the coloring, I find them useful. I don't use them often, maybe once every two months. Just as a check up.

Definitely works. Small tablet but creates TONS of dye when mixed with your saliva--it's crazy. I don't recommend using this in the morning if you care about your appearance--for kids, it would be fine because the dye really stains your tongue and takes awhile for it to come off. I did not like the flavor. The package did not say what flavor it was and the package is not what it looks like in the picture. The package itself was not sealed and a little dented. The tablets were sealed. 20 is enough for me, I won't buy again unless theres a better flavor.

Wow I love these! So easy to use, brush your teeth, floss and them chew on one of these. Your teeth will turn purple so rinse and spit until the water runs clear then take a look at your teeth. Any new plaque you missed when brushing will show red and any other that you missed previously ie old will be purple. As an obsessive flosser I was surprised to find a bit of red around 3 front teeth so had another good clean till it went. However my tongue is very red so I really need to concentrate my efforts a bit more in that area. I would highly recommend these to keep on top of oral hygiene. In brief they work really well, no real taste and good value for money!

Kreeg ik in een merkloos bruin doosje en op de strips stond ook geen merknaam (zou van het bekende tandenspullenmerk Tepe zijn). Ik vertrouwde het niet. De tabletten zijn wel voor gebruik in je mond. Heb het teruggestuurd.

These are really cool. Everyone should use these regularly to check how effective their plaque removal routine is at cleaning their teeth. I wish I tried this as a child to give me a visual on just how much plaque is in my mouth and how diligent I need to be to remove it.
