Do not do that. Buy this, and you will be impressed as I am. This thing cuts like a hot knife through cold, frozen butter. While I try, so hard, to observe grain direction before passing through - sometimes that's hard when I'm batching out say 10 drawers or so. I make extra of course, but even with incorrect grain direction this puppy - for now - is so sharp it cuts as clean as butter. I have not messed much with this bits adjustable features but I am glad I have that option.
