I think I am out of the realm of the normal person who has purchased these clippers. I did not buy these to use on myself or for a person at all. I own a sugar glider, who needs his nails trimmed at least once a month. His hands and feet are very small meaning his nails are very very tiny. I needed a clipper that was sharp and easy to hold onto. I got just that with this set of clippers. If you have any animal and you trim its nails you know they really dont enjoy it. Imagine trying to cut the nails of a marsupial that fits in the palm of your hand. You can only clip the very tips of their nails or you can hurt them. With these clippers being so sharp and coming to such a nice point it is very easy for me to grab onto the nail and snip it before he squirms away. These are high quality in my opinion for the price.

Had/have a super thick big toe nail which had been a real pain in the you know where. Saw these, they looked pretty quality and the price was right. And they absolutely made mincemeat of that super thick big toe nail. And that toe and foot feel much better, easier to walk on.

Purchased these for my husband as he has trouble using the standard clippers on his thicker toenails. He was so happy with these that I gave them a try. I agree with him -- these are much easier to use and much more precise. They seem to be strong and nicely made. The sculpted handle is pretty easy to grip (we both have arthritis in our hands) which is important since they are very sharp and one would want to have good control over them. I also appreciated the plastic storage cover for the tips as the cover helps avoid any unpleasant accidents. A note of caution: I would be extremely cautious or avoid using these completely on children. It would be much to easy to hurt them if they moved or jerked while you were cutting their nails.

I have brittle, thick nails which I trim closely to keep them from cracking and splitting. These clippers are very sharp, easy to grip, and do the job effectively. I have seen clippers in kits which are not as heavy duty as these and not as sharp. If you need this kind of tool you cannot go wrong at this price. I was also impressed by the reviews. It is rare to find a product on Amazon with only 1% of reviews less than 4-Stars. Also follow us by vendor so I feel like with that along with positive reviews and Amazon's policies how can you go wrong?

To say that I LOVE a Nail Nipper sounds a little bit over board but this Professional Nail Nipper is the VERY BEST toe nail trimming device I've ever used. I am completely satisfied with it and if I ever lose it I will replace it immediately. I've tried a lot of Toe Nail Clippers in different sizes and shapes. The problems for me seem to be in the shape of the opening. Most clippers don't open wide enough to accommodate the thickness of my large toe nails nor are they curved to fit the contour of my very thick, tough nails. Plus most clippers are unwieldy for my use. I would need to be a contortionist some of the time which is difficult as I'm stiff and elderly. It pleases me to recommend this product. I was not offered and financial incentive for telling any and every reader to order this item ASAP.

Very good for tough fingernails too I have arthritis in both of my hands and was having trouble with my small clippers, so I gave these a try. They have worked out to be the answer to my delima as I can now very easily trim my fingernails on both hands. I have not tried them for trimming my toenails as I usually use a small battery powered dremmel with a small sanding drum for that purpose. Update 10/27/16 - I just used these on my toenails and am happy to report that they work very well there too. Even though I do NOT have the extra heavy gross toenails like you see on some older adults, I do have to clip my large toenail a little at a time. I cannot clip the whole toenail in one clip. I do tend to clip my toenails a little too close for my comfort. Next time I will pay more attention to that. Everything is all good so far. These clippers are highly recommended.

I purchased this product on line because of the prominence saying it was "German engineered" and thinking because of other products I have that were made in Germany of stainless steel were very high quality, it affected my purchase decision. The phrase "German Engineered" is prominently placed on the packaging and printed on the item. However, the product is made in China, which is in tiny printing at the very bottom of the packaging, not in any of the advertising material. I am sure is is good quality, but I think Revlon misrepresented the product.
