It's now more than seven years since one of the USA's all time great bands called it a day, after having spent 30 years together - excepting Bill Berry's earlier departure due to ill health. To suggest that fans of the Georgian combo miss them like hell would be the understatement of the year. This three disc collection celebrates the music of R.E.M. across this lengthy time-span, and includes two superb CDs containing radio broadcasts of concerts from 1984 and 1989, along with a third disc containing media interviews with the guys from various points across their career. Superb quality throughout and eclectic tracklists make this box set a delightful addition to every R.E.M. collection in existence.

GREAT MUSIC, VERY INTERESTING TALK
If you like REM, this CD set is for you. 2 fantastic old sets, and a fascinating bunch of interviews with the guys. Highly Recommended!

Two great concerts from early on,plus an interview disc.
One concert comes very early (1984) and features a lot of great pre-fame songs,it has good sound ,and then the second dic has a concert when the band has hit it's heights.....great songs, and set list order,impeccable sound too. Very worth the price ...and should be in any fan's collection. Buy it before it's all gone.

great collection
always enjoy REM live stuff. they are very talented and you never get tired of listening to them. this comes with 3 cds where the 3rd cd is an interview cd. it has great sound and the music is great.

a good collection of 2 radio concerts and a disc of interviewsproblem is I already own the concerts under different namesthey should let you know what you are buying!

Buyer Be Aware!
Be aware that this is a collection of three discs which either are currently, or were previously available individually. As someone who has amassed over three-hundred albums, EP's, singles, Christmas singles, CD's, CD-singles, including special releases, imports and bootlegs, including all three of the discs contained in this set, the only disc of note is 'Songs for a Green World'. Whether you agree or not, what concerns me about this product is that Amazon failed to alert buyers to the fact that 'The Spirit of Radio' is nothing more than a repackaging of CD's currently or previously available through Amazon -- two of which I suspect were collecting dust in some far-off corner of a warehouse.
