The Andersons PGF Balanced 10-10-10 Fertilizer with Micronutrients and 2% Iron (5,000 sq ft)

This is a 5 Star product. I put this on my St. Augustine lawn after it begins to green up in the spring and it does an amazing job at completely greening it up. It adds balance nutrients to the soil and roots, making my lawn very healthy throughout the growing season. You will be very pleased with this fertilizer.

Used it for the "Fall Fertilizer" on my Bermuda to take the lawn into the Winter. It worked great, but, the suggested setting for my spreader was wrong... if I had used that setting, I would have used up the fertilizer before I could have spread over my entire yard. I had to improvise with my spreader and I was able to cover the lawn (the area of the lawn was equal to the advertised "coverage area" of the bags that I bought). However, once I got it on my grass, the lawn greened up and stayed green from Oct into Dec (I live in Texas..). My dislike was the price! It works, but you pay for it!

I decided to give this a try bc mainly it was twice the cost than the other will known brand. I've never had good luck and my yard looks like crap but figured I'd try anyway. Figured I'd pay twice the cost and see how it goes. Well where I applied it my yard is thicker than I've ever seen it. Lush. I have some rough patches still but it's almost closed up many and closing in on others. Wow, it's good stuff and will now only use this. With the extra money for sure. Buying a second bag for the back yard.

I think this is a quality product. I put it down today 3/13/24 after doing a Spring scalp on my front Bermuda lawn. Where I think I messed up at was my Spreader settings. I unfortunately do not have one of the recommended spreaders mentioned on the product label so I had to guess conservatively what my setting should be for this product application. At my lowest setting available I may have made 3 passes, 50 feet each way and the product was pretty much gone. The prills are super small in this product, you have to be careful and follow the instructions to the best of your ability and resources. Hindsight I should have used a hand spreader for a more thorough application over 5,000 sq feet. It would have taken a lot longer but it beats the alternative of wasting money 💰.

I use this yearly at the beginning of the season (~ early March) to kickstart the yard (bermuda/zoysia). Grass does well with this - yields quicker green-up when combined with proper prep in early spring (scalp, dethatch, etc.). Worth the cost vs. big box store products.

Excellent product for lawn care enthusiasts. The ease of use for for late winter - very early spring at 50-55 degree weather for application. 10-10-10 (N-P-K) Nitrogen, phosphorous , potassium. This product is not intended to be used year round or monthly during the active growing season. Always follow the directions on the label for directions and review the results of your soil test!
