regarding undercharging issues
I've read a lot about "undercharging issues" on other reviews. The issue, I believe, is not undercharging but simply a dysfunction of charging LED indicator. When the charging LED indicator turns off, the unit still continues to charge the battery, therefore to overcome this issue, I simply let the batteries stay a little bit longer on charging bay and checked the batteries from time to time until such time that I was able to determine the approximate duration of additional charging time which will guide me in future chargings. Of course, somebody needs a voltage tester to check on battery charging status. I know that this is contrary to manufacturer's instruction but I've done this a lot of times and I've never had any problem. I believe this product is a lot better and very affordable compared to the more intelligent and expensive chargers on the market which ONLY charges alkaline and rechargeable batteries while this product basically charges most batteries. I bought a more expensive brand worth over 30 dollars advertised as Green Clean on another website which worked pretty well with no undercharging issues on the first month, however, the device stopped working afterwards. The more expensive charger has no warranty and does'nt have manufacturer's name on it which means that no product support is expected for any issues arising from its use. I bought 3 of the above sierra electric battery chargers and I'm fully satisfied with my purchases.

Read Reviews and Don't Purchase Junk
This battery charger is a complete waste of money, I had a Maximal Power charger and gave it to my daughter and replaced it with this thing, yeah it charges batteries fast but... then the battery won't even run a flashlight for 20 minutes, I charged the batteries for both my flashlights, went out in the snow and ice to check on my horses and the darn batteries dead in BOTH my flashlights and stranded me in the middle of the field. So I come back in thinking maybe I didn't seat the batteries in the bays and the charger tells me all my batteries (ALL, I have about 50 rechargeable batteries) are either charged, which they are not, or defective, which they are not. so.. I ordered a new Maximal Power charger and learned a $24 lesson, Read the reviews, don't purchase this junk.

Should Have Gone Rechargeable in The First Place
It works for charging batteries, but it does not have an automatic cut off, so many times the batteries end up getting over charged or some batteries blow up in the case damaging the electronics so the charger will not work properly in that one chamber where the battery blew-up. Some batteries will charge in six hours, some in four and some in two, you just never know, over charging causes some batteries to blow up. Now when I say blow up, I don't mean "Nuclear" I mean: "pop" "fizz", and "ooz". It is the leaking battery chemicals that cause the damage. In the end, I have had to check the battery voltage with a volt meter or Ohm meter to see how high or low the voltage was and then by that I could approximate how long I should leave the battery in the charger. In the end, since the device destroyed several batteries and they’re by destroying the device, I no longer use it. Instead, I just use rechargeable batteries since they sometimes come with their own charger and last for several months to years depending on how many charges they can handle.

Several
I bought several of these for friends and family. Some did not work as well as I had hoped. Overall, I am disappointed.

Works fine, but read directions first
I must say I was a bit discouraged by the reviews on this. When I got it I went over the instructions. It clearly states for certain batteries don't overcharge or it can cause battery damage and gives u the amount of hours. This cannot be left unattended while at work. I've never had a problem with it. It charges rechargeable batteries and regular batteries. AA and AAA cannot be charged in it though.

Works well, saves many batteries from the trash.
We purchased this charger for a Fire Department because we go through so many batteries. It did re-charge quite a few. Plus, when we started testing the battery strength of each one, we realized that we were throwing away ones that were fully charged. Fire Fighters would take all the batteries out of a flashlight that wasn't working, throw them all away and start with fresh ones. This product would be better if it had an automatic shut off when a battery was fully charged and if it came with a tester. The instructions should also note that if a battery is already full when you put it in, the green light will NOT change to red.
