This is a very stable and 'sturdy', without being heavy. The pad that comes with it is indeed thick. The metal 'board' itself is very open so the steam comes through the board. I'm very satisfied and would recommend it.

The ironing board is smaller than expected (but I could've been more meticulous in checking out the measurements provided) but it's a very strong, good ironing board and I am very pleased with it. Although it's a few inches smaller than my previous ironing board, it serves the purpose very well and I'm really enjoying it.

I have needed a new ironing board for years. I tried using a mini countertop one, and one that folded down while hung from the back of a door. Nothing compares to a good ironing board and I was willing to spend a bit more, but not a crazy amount. I just tried it out and, overall, it seems to fit the bill. Really compact, lightweight yet sturdy and stable, easy to open, and nice, thick padding. I bought the one with Turbo Zone but haven't used it yet. My big question is, why is the iron stand oriented horizontally?! I've watched the demos and video reviews to see what I'm missing. Every video showed the iron resting face down on its plate, although one was slightly tipped. My T-Fal iron does not recommend setting it face down while in use, but I tried it anyway. The steam blasted out in that position! Not one of the videos showed the iron steaming so I wonder, why didn't it happen in those videos? It didn't show them turning the steam down or off before setting the iron down. What, don't people use steam?! Also, my iron did not feel secure while placed in that area. It didn't fit snugly. Maybe it should be adjustable. It would be nice to have more guidance about how to use that stand. Aside from that, I'm happy with my purchase!

My heavy metal ironing board of many years finally gave up the ghost. It got harder and harder to unfold/fold, finally getting stuck in the open position. That made it difficult to store in a closet. On to Amazon to search for a replacement. This one appeared to be a good buy, so it went into the cart. When it arrived in its shipping box, I was surprised as how light it appeared to be. Out of the box, it was much smaller and lighter than the older one. That had me wondering how sturdy it is. First, it fit into the closet storage space with room to spare. Great! Using it for the first time was an excellent experience. Unfolding/folding was a snap! The mechanism is very easy to use; and, as you unfold, there are several choices in height. Fully open, it comes up to my waist, making for a comfortable ironing position. It is built sturdy enough to alleviate any concern that it might easily tip over in use. The iron holder on the end is something new to me. I am used to standing the iron when not in use and, so far, I still do. I'll likely get around to using the holder, because by doing so I remove any opportunity of touching the very hot ironing face. In addition, the included board cover seems to be of good quality. All in all, a very nice package at a reasonable price.

This is a nice ironing board. It is well made, more like the ironing boards that used to be available. It's a little smaller than our previous one, but that is better when it comes to storage and ease of use. It also has a little platform like area to set your iron on between items.

Super light weight, folds flat easily so it will fit between the side of my dryer and the wall. Easy to maneuver through the house due to light weight. Ironing surface is sufficient for pants length when pressing. I place the back corner next to my counter for added stability. Works great.

I liked no assembly required! It is sturdy but lightweight and worked well

Just a little flimsy, if you set the iron down be careful., easily knocked off. Otherwise it does the job. Just seems like it should be better at keeping iron in place considering it has a spot for it that blocks me from using the bottom edge of the board. Feels like the iron rack is a waste.

No way it is worth the $362 I paid for it. What was I thinking? Could have got a better one at bunnings for a tenth of the price. Have no idea why it was so expensive. Can I return it?

The electric cord older broke the first time I used it. Great ironing board otherwise.
