Highly Recommend for the DIYโer!!!
This book has saved me thousands of dollars! I have Not had to call a plumber do work in our house such as replacing leaking water valves, main shut off valves, adding new water lines for our upstairs half bath. Taking the time to read and review materials required this book recommends for projects and residential homes requirements has been such a huge help.

Great pictures!
This is really a great book. The pictures are phenomenal. I have a few suggestions to make the book even better. First, in my opinion there is not enough specific coverage of PVC pipe. Specifically, PVC and CPVC are distinct and different in chemistry, form, and function. That was not made at all clear in the book! Second, the coverage of PEX pipe was great but there are other methods of joining PEX pipe which I believe should have been mentioned particularly the expansion or spreader method of joining the pipe. (Some plumbers believe that the expansion method is the only way to go.) There are other methods that at least deserve mention. Third, I believe that there should be a discussion of the "electrical activity" of various metals which makes for incompatibility and corrosion. Specifically, in our part of the country, plumbers would never ever think of using galvanized pipe for water and would certainly never use it in contact with brass or copper because the water is very hard and, in fact, corrosive, and the galvanized pipe will not last very long. Those are just some suggestions for an already good book.

Very Useful Book
Really helpful for the home handyman. Very easy to understand and the author writes very well. Even plumbing becomes interesting. For example, I've been struggling to open up a slow draining tub in my older home. I've tried everything I could think or. Learned from the book that Pro's usually just replace the drain trap - that there really is no way to clean it out once the gunk has hardened in it - and this just happens after many years of service. So that is my next project...

Not as detailed with kitchen sink plumbing as desired
I purchased the Taunton Wiring Complete for a housing project I was working on and was very satisfied with it. The tips and diagrams all proved to be very useful. I bought this hoping for similar results when tackling the plumbing, but I didn't find it to be quite as useful. I'm still glad I have it for a handy reference, but many of my specific questions about kitchen sink plumbing (which can get fairly complicated) remained unanswered.

Great reference book.
I liked the explanations and photos. I'll use the book to compare options when remodeling / updating.

Plumbing Complete
Not a lot of use for non US residents - their systems are completely different to the rest of the world. Should be some annotation that it is only for the US market.
