This is best if you prefer vegan
I tried the Vega Protein + Recovery (Vanilla) and overall itโs a solid plant-based protein option, especially if you want something clean and performance-focused. It delivers a strong 30g of protein per serving and includes extras like probiotics and BCAAs, which make it feel more like a recovery supplement than just a basic protein powder. The formula is NSF Certified for Sport, which is reassuring for quality and safety. Taste-wise, the vanilla flavor is fairly mild and slightly earthy (typical of pea protein blends). Itโs not overly sweet, but it can taste a bit chalky if mixed with just water. In smoothies with banana, almond milk, or peanut butter, it becomes much more enjoyable and creamy. Digestibility is a plusโno bloating for me, and the probiotics seem to help gut comfort. The texture blends okay but works best with a shaker or blender. Overall: great for fitness recovery and clean nutrition, but not the best choice if youโre looking for a dessert-like protein shake. ๐ช๐ฑ

Great Plant-Based Protein!
I've been using Vega Protein + Recovery in Vanilla for a few weeks now, and I couldnโt be happier with the results. The 30g of protein per serving has helped with my muscle recovery after workouts, and I love that it's completely dairy and gluten-free. The flavor is smooth and not chalky, which makes it easy to mix with water or oat milk. I also appreciate the added probiotics for digestive health. Overall, it's a fantastic product for anyone looking for a clean, effective protein source! Highly recommend!

Tasty Vanilla Protein Powder
Great protein powder. Good flavor. Blends well and is not chalky.

Good Product, but "Natural Flavoring..."?
Let me start by saying this is one of the better tasting protein powders that I've tried and is usually my preferred brand for protein powder in general, even compared with the regular whey proteins. With that being said, I am a little leery about the fact the second ingredient is listed as "natural flavors". I like all the other ingredients and it does taste really good and I'm thrilled to find a non-dairy protein powder, especially one that is geared toward more intense workouts. I was just a little surprised to see that the second ingredient was some type of general flavoring, without listing exactly what it was. I've seen natural flavoring listed on many other labels of products that I buy and I guess I'm fine with even a company like this using it in their products, but I guess I'd feel better if I knew where the flavors were coming from and generally prefer if it wasn't at the top of the ingredients list.

Vanilla Protein Powder
Prefer chocolate over vanilla. Blends well, even with a fork. Both flavors are overly sweet, unless green banana or scoop of peanut batter are added. Neutral add ins will help knock down that artificial sweetener flavor. On it's own: not really palatable. I would rather it was just less sweet. If you're desensitized to stevia, it's probably not as noticeable.

Vega has lost a loyal customer with this crappy version.
I have been using Vega protein for years, and until recently have considered their product to be of the highest quality and worth the premium they charge. This newest iteration of their protein powder is such a crazy step down I can't believe it actually made it consumer deployment. We're talking "new Coke" levels of bad here. For example, this used to actually be a protein powder. Now it would more accurately be called a protein dust. This dust is so fine that it gets in every nook and cranny of anything you use it in. It's incredibly messy. Since it's so fine, any time you empty a scoop into a single-serving size container you get significant amounts of the dust splashing up and out of whatever you were putting it in. I find myself spending a few minutes trying to slowly, slowly tap it out of the scoop to avoid this but inevitably have to wipe down the counter after making a shake. Every. Single. Time. The flavor and texture have also changed here. What used to be a light and clean-feeling vanilla now makes me feel like I'm trying to choke down cake batter. It is much thicker and the flavoring much more intense. With the previous product, I could throw half of a banana and some almond butter in for a treat after an intense workout. If I did that with this current product it'd be so thick that it'd almost be like trying to drink dough. I now use only water with the dust, and it is still much thicker than the previous version when I used almond milk. I powerlift, and though I'm not a vegan I have loved the previous versions of this product and have had great results with it. I liked how high quality it felt, how I didn't feel bogged down, and how tasty it was. This new version is so bad that if it weren't so expensive I'd just throw it out. I'm currently looking for another protein shake that isn't a cake batter-y, dusty mess. I do not recommend paying Vega's premium prices for what is now an inferior product. As a sidenote - I have tried Whole Foods' store brand protein powder and it is the exact same dust "powder".

WAY TOO SWEET!
Unfortunately, I dislike this product due to the added sweetness of Stevia. This protein powder doesn't have any added sugar BUT I wish I had read the label more carefully. If I knew if had this sweetner added, I wouldn't have ordered it. The vanilla flavor is fine. I've used it in smoothies with various fruits, and mixed it with non-dairy milks, regular milk, juice and even water. It had the powdery consistency that comes with all protein powders but it wasn't enough too turn me off from the product. Because I so disliked the sweetness, I didn't use it regularly so I can't comment on it's quality nor can I saw that I felt the positive effects from a protein boost in my diet. I'll have to keep searching for a good, vegan protein powder that has no added sweetener! In addition, because I didn't use it consistently, I can't really address it's quality. It seemed to be of good quality but I don't have enough experience to compare it to other vegan protein powders.

Creamy and actually tastes really good
Iโve tried many protein powders before, and for a vegan protein, this one honestly surprised me. The texture is very creamy compared to others Iโve had, and the vanilla flavor tastes really good on its own. Yes, it does have a slightly grainy texture, but in my opinion thatโs pretty normal with most protein powders, especially plant-based ones. Overall, I still found it much smoother and tastier than many others Iโve tried. I personally make it with a little almond milk and ice, and it comes out delicious without needing to add fruit or anything extra. Itโs become one of my favorite post-workout shakes so far.

Great Plant Based Protein
Liked the taste, high protein, and tart cherry for recovery. Even more palatable with magnolia uht chocolate milk. Fairly good product ingredient transparency. Looking forward to buying more when it gets restocked as it runs out so fast. #athlete

The product is not clean!!
I do not recommend it! Does not seems to be a clean vegan product. It seems to have heavy metals in it! The taste is not normal either!

Awesome. Vega Rocks !!!! Best Plant Based Protein.
Among those who wish to go for Plant based good quality protein.Go for this 1.It mixes very well even better than whey 2.Taste is good enough (Vanilla Flavour) 3.Has very good amount of protein per scoop. But it is bit costly, perhaps because of Import duties.

Protein powder is clumpy and tastes bad
I am a big fan of Vega powder. But this time when I bought a big bucket, it's clumpy and tastes bad. I have just used 3-4 scoops and I can't return it as well. Disappointed tbh.
