The scalpers and chip shortage sucks, but if you get one, it’s a great system
Managed to snag this beast off Amazon randomly during one of the few times they’ve had them. No clue how other than refreshing a lot. I feel bad for those of you who’ve yet to grab one, but while it’s a great console, it’s not *that* amazing. Needs more ps5 exclusive games before I’d worry too much. I still play my PS4 in the bedroom when the boy takes over the living room tv and have a blast. So, don’t let the urge to get your hands on one overwhelm you. You’ll get yours! I do love the console, though. I use it and my series x (again, got super lucky again, but on wally morts website that time) about the same amount. The ps5 is indistinguishable verses the series X in terms of power that I’ve seen. They’re both powerful consoles and outshine my aging 1070ti pc by a ton (that’s been the hardest to upgrade for me). The UI is a fresh look and functional enough. I like the store is just there to select when you feel and it doesn’t have to “load” the store like on ps4 and ps3. I like that it has a pull up *task* bar, for lack of better words, that you can quickly pull up and make on the fly adjustments to the sound control, accounts, etc. The best upgrade are the new controllers, imo. Haptic feedback is a neat feature, though honestly not a deal breaker if games don’t utilize it. It’s cool to feel different guns in games have different trigger feel/pull. My favorite part is the size and shape redesign. Fits my semi larger hands much better, but my 11 year old has no issues, either. It just feels better, if you know what I mean. The one downside I’ve found here is battery life. Absolutely a downgrade verses the PS4 controllers. The ssd is fast and does a good job. The only downside, and it’s kinda big, is the super specific drive you have to buy if you want to upgrade the internal drive. They’re crazy expensive, much like the series X, but more so. Who knows how long we have to wait to see larger than 1TB affordable drives that will work. The console itself is a chonker, so make sure you have the space for ventilation. Not a huge fan of the design, but you can see the design and make your own decision. Good luck on your hunt and keep trying. If you refuse to pay scalpers, as I did, get on Twitter and follow a few of the accounts that alert you to upcoming ps5 stock. That’s how I heard about the Amazon stock when I got this one. Also, screw scalpers. That is all.

Proud owner of the Playstation 5
Proud owner of a the next gen console, PlayStation 5. I wished it was more available to purchase than sold out. I had great luck to order the ps5 when it came instock online. I was patiently waiting to get the shipping confirmation and pray that it arrived safe and sound. The shipping box was damage on the top folding flapps, but the PlayStation box itself was okay. It is a heavy console weighing at around 9 lbs or 4.45 kg. It is the tallest console in vertical position compare to the xbox series x. I am please with how the console looks and especially the newer redesigned dualsense controller. I find out that it also has a M.2 expansion slot to further allow more ssd storage for the PlayStation 5, which will come in a further update this coming summer. Safe to say, i am liking the new features and details on the PS5. With the new uhd blu-ray disc drive finally in this next gen console, makes it even better for the price, and also further your use of the next gen console. In my opinion it looks much better in the vertical position, some like it in horizontal position. Performance wise is pretty fast, not sure how Sony did it, but they did. This is a great next gen console and can't wait for great games to come. Overall, it arrived safe, i have yet to play any games on it. But i am liking the new design and will have it stand next to my 4k hdr tv. This is a great console and sony took it to the next level in terms of design and power.

Good stuff
I gotta say, I wouldn't have got to order a PS5 on release day if it weren't for the snappy notification I got and 1 tap buying of Amazon being so swift. Walmart couldn't handle the traffic, but Amazon took it like a champ... But I digress, I'm here to talk about the PS5. The set up of the stand they give you is a little awkward to figure out, but it was an easy install. Other than that, it's as simple to set up as a PS4 was. Plug in the power and the HDMI cords, start up. It took me about 3 hours to update/transfer my system stuff. My one complaint on the PS5 homescreen stuff is that there currently isn't backgrounds/themes to select through, but whatever game/app/media you're highlighting will mostly be the background... So it's currently not a huge gripe. I'm sure there will be options in a future update. Now, how does it feel and play? For the most part... Good. I recommend the system's playhouse game to get you familiar with the many possible perks of the controller(s). As one big plus is that each controller has a mic right in them. At the moment I only have Bugsnax installed as a PS5 game, so I can't much comment on how their exclusive games are. (Bugsnax ia super childish, so it's not my cup of tea.) But I can confirm there are still are loading screens for PS4 games, but it feels MUCH less laggy with a PS5. I can't guarantee that you won't ever disconnect with it, but it seems to play online smoothly... Except games like EA's Starwars Battlefront 2, that game's still a laggy mess for me. It comes with about 800g memory free space when booted up, but I plugged in my 2T storage data I had for the PS4 and it didn't struggle to recognize what's on it after the data tranfer process. There's also 2 USB ports in thw back, which tells me if I run low on data for my 2T storage I have a second port for double the data right away... I'll look into that later. The only bug I've heard about the system is if you leave it in rest mode it may freeze or something, but Sony is aware of the issue and os already working on fixing it in a future update. So even with the tiny issues I discussed that's probably going to be resolved in future updates, I'm giving the PS5 a 5 star rating. I don't regret owning one. Good work, Sony! And good work Amazon! The delivery went smoothly as well.

Who does not know sony 😂❤️. I recommend it for people who want 120fps. But after I used a PC (gaming laptop to be honest), I will always be a PC player. But I recommend it for those who have wife and kids or brothers and sisters and want to play with them locally. Thank you Sony ❤️

The **PlayStation 5** is a powerhouse of a console that truly delivers a next-gen gaming experience. After spending some time with it, I can confidently say it’s a huge leap forward for gaming. **What I like:** **Stunning graphics**: The PS5’s **ray tracing** and **4K resolution** create incredibly realistic visuals, making games look breathtakingly detailed. **Ultra-fast load times**: Thanks to the **custom SSD**, load times are almost non-existent, allowing you to jump into games much quicker. **DualSense controller**: The new controller is a standout feature. The **haptic feedback** and **adaptive triggers** make gameplay more immersive than ever before. **Backwards compatibility**: It supports a large library of PS4 games, so you can enjoy your old favorites with improved performance. **What could be better?** **Size**: The PS5 is a big console, and it can be tricky to find space for it in a smaller entertainment setup. **Limited storage**: The internal storage fills up quickly, especially with large game files, so expanding the storage or managing downloads becomes necessary. Overall, the PlayStation 5 is a game-changer. From stunning graphics to innovative controller features, it’s a must-have for any serious gamer looking for the ultimate gaming experience.
