Grave Before Shave™ Viking Blend Beard Oil

This is my second order from Brave Before Shave and my first order of Viking Blend. I was a little concerned what that particular blend would smell like but it’s pretty nice, somewhat woodsy. I’ve been using this beard oil for about a year. I found that it keeps my beard manageable and even better, my skin more moist. I have had on occasion some minor dandruff from my beard even though I use shampoo on it. This does very well stopping my skin under my beard from getting dry. When I run a. Omg through my beard after application of this beard oil, my beard hair combs smooth with no effort at all. I also like the scent, it doesn’t stay on long as cologne would, but my wife likes it. If you have an beard, use this daily, and you’ll love the difference compared with out it. This in my opinion is the best on the market. I tried others and now I’ve come back to Grave Before Shave and will stick with it for as long as I have an beard. Excellent product.

This is my favorite beard oil. Softens my beard with a pleasant and subtle scent. Too many beard oils have strong scents and give me headaches, GB4 shave is amazing!

Not bad. Moisturizes my beard and skin and has a nice smell. Unfortunately the smell wears off quickly but I've gotten compliments :) Works best with beard wax as well. It will make your beard shiny so a grey one like mine can stand out more than you'd like. Price is a bit high for what is basically oil; I'm thinking of making my own.

I was surprised at how well this beard oil does as just "being a beard oil." No added scent, just does what it should do. Be a BEARD OIL! If that's what you want, you can't ask for a better product. Perhaps a bit heavy in velocity, but otherwise, perfect for everyday use. Seven Potions is still the best (along with Amish). But this a much cheaper alternative and worth a try.

Absolutely zero scent. GBS makes the best working beard oil blend that I have tried over the past few years. It makes my beard soft but not oily or greasy to the touch. I have bought other 3 other scents from this company and I hated the smell except for the Leather/Cedar-wood. If you want to try this brand of oil out, get this one first. Best beard oil I have found and there is no scent.

Before buying this beard oil, I tried many beard balms, glosses, and conditioners from well-known and recommended brands. Though some were better than others, each one left my beard varying degrees of waxy and/or greasy to the touch. Eventually, I gave up on all of them. That said, I still wanted something to condition my beard and the skin under it. A friend (and barber) recommended this particular beard oil from Grave Before Shave. I'm happy to say that his strong recommendation was entirely accurate. CONSISTANCY / FEEL: This is a relatively thin oil that distributes easily and evenly throughout the beard. Once applied, the beard is much softer, silky, and easier to comb. It also helps keep the skin under my beard moistened and soft. SCENT: Almost non-existant (as advertised). This is nice if you apply other scents (via other toiletries) or just prefer a non-scented beard. At most, it has a *very* slight herbal scent. BEARD CONTROL: This oil does provide some minimal control, but not remotely as much as a beard balm. If you're beard is very frizzy or has a lot of "fly-away" hairs, then you may be more in the market for a balm. APPLICATION: It's better to use a boar-bristle brush, but it can be applied with bare hands as well. Use only a few drops! A little goes a long way. END RESULT: I'm not knocking balms and conditioners, but they don't provide the result I want. This particular beard oil is both of good quality and subtle.

I like the effect it has on my beard in terms of softening the hairs and making them a little less unruly. However, I don't detect any scent from this whatsoever. Obviously I'm not looking for anything overpowering but I was expecting a mild note of something. Unfortunately neither the wife or myself get a whiff of anything.

I always thought beard oil was just some stupid hipster beard fad. But the other day the girl cutting my hair insisted she put some in for me, so I let her and it was like night and day. My beard immediately felt softer, it shaped better, didnt look wiry or crazy, and smelled nice. I came on Amazon, and this was one of the best rated oils, and of course I liked the look of this brand so I gave it a try. The viking blend smells really nice, without having a strong musky, overpowering, lingering smell. It smells like a light sweet lemon (thats the best way I can think to describe it. Its easy to use with the dropper, and within a minute of applying you can tell the difference. Im always putting my hands through my beard throughout the day, when just lounging about, and its amazing how something so simple can make such a difference. While this is only the second brand I have used, this definitely one of the ones you pick up and find your brand.
