Silhouette Cameo 4 and Cameo 5 Engraving, Embossing, & Etching Tool by Zoom Precision

I love how well this tool works with my Silhouette machine! It engraves like a dream! I've done so many ornaments and necklaces with this! My only complaint is that the card that comes with the tool that says you can follow this link to get instructions etc, the site gives VERY LITTLE instruction. I feel as though I had to do trial and error here, and while I was successful, It's not my preferred way to learn a new tool. That being said I still highly recommend this tool for anyone wanting to engrave things with their Silhouette Machine!

Very good quality build, I'm a hobby machinist so I may be easily impressed, however, I was planning on getting this set and building my own for the other machine if I liked it. I like everything about this kit, high quality hardened steel cutting inserts and beautiful storage case that I didn't expect. I bought another set for my other machine.

It worked perfectly for my needs! I was able to sketch exactly what I wanted on clear acrylic with my Silhouette Cameo.

I'm new to engraving, so I'm still learning to use this, but so far it has done great! Mine didn't come with instructions, but you can find tutorials on the website for the tool. For the cameo 4, it involves using the engraver as a pen and having a lot of pressure and force to grave. It's not a bad idea to have a dry erase pen clipped into the pen holder before you start engraving to make sure everything is lined up. It's pretty load, but I don't notice a lot of dust or anything being kicked up while on use.

I have only attempted to use this a couple of times, but while the concept is good it could do with a few updates to the function. First off, it doesn't come with instructions or even recommend blade/pressure settings, so as with appt of things on silhouette, it is a bit of trial and error, which is a bit difficult since they only include a few tags and the size of them doesn't give much room for experiment, plus the slickness of the metal tags are not wanting to hold to the standard grip mat with the blade pressure so far found to be required to make a noticeable mark on the tags, I will be trying again with the strong grip mat, but so far have not had desirable results. It would be nice if there were a few more tags provided and if those tags were a bit bigger, along with instructions or recommendations, but after you find the right settings, I'm sure this could be a useful addition to your silhouette lineup, but the roadblocks I am hitting leave it short of a 5 star product for me.

10/10 highly recommend. This comes with three tips and the tool they go in. Precission/regular/blunt. I've used all 3 making custom metal business cards. You put the tip in the tool and twist tight then put the tool in spot #1 in the machine. In the 'send' window of Silhouette Studio set as follows: Material: cardstock heavy Tool: pen Action: sketch Force: between 20-25 Passes: minimum 3. (I did 5 because it needed to engrave through the sublimation layer of the business card and that took two passes alone). They also came with various metal tags. I haven't engraved any yet but am surprised at how nice and thick they are. These seem very high quality tips. I've engraved about 20-25 cards so far with no issue whatsoever.

3 pointes de gravure, une précision, une normal et une gaufrage. Impeccable pour la cameo 4, se place directement dans la machine. Pour faire des gravures sur bracelets, médailles, cartes... Pointes très solides.

I was a bit reserved about this - I couldn't believe it may be easy to use. It is soooo simple. You need a pixscan mat to make it really easy. I have a Cameo 4. I used the sharpest looking one and just thought - right this is it. Followed instructions on the silhouette tutorial website and voila!!! Now what can I etch lol

Ich arbeite mit einem Silhouette Cameo 4 und ich bin begeistert! Funktioniert einwandfrei und ohne Adapter. Lieferung wie immer superschnell. Das Teil kommt in einem hübschen Schächtelchen und dabei sind 3 Spitzen, ein paar Schildchen und außerdem ein QR-Code, an dessen Ende man sehr detailreiche Beschreibungen findet, wie man es verwendet. Den Preis finde ich persönlich schon etwas hoch, aber da es super klappt, lässt mich die Freude über die gelungenen Stücke, den vergessen. Auf einem Foto sieht man 2 Hundemarken, die doppelt so dick sind, wie die mitgelieferten. Auch da hat es einwandfrei geklappt. Definitiv eine klare Empfehlung von mir, wenn der hohe Preis in Kauf genommen wird!
