What I will say about the faults call is it is a totally different tone than what you would normally get, kinda bassy but has a lot of rasp, feed call runs great. I would recommend to have on the lanyard bc chances are no one is using one of these in your area, so you will stand out when birds get shy of other calls. I really like the all wood design. It’s a reelfoot style insert ( tone board ) and ducks seem to come to it when they are call shy and when you need an extra edge. This call sits on my lanyard next to my Echo Pure meat, JJ lares hybrid and Kirk McCullough cutdown. I try to always buy Louisiana products whenever I can. When it comes to calls, we got Faulks and Duck Commander. This call has the old school feel and sound and the classic, friction fit reed. I have the Faulks call for Canadian geese on my land yard as well. This call is perfect for working ducks and doing some feed calls. Not really the best when it comes to calling in ducks to land but it does the job. Definitely have a Duck Commander right next to you for the reason but other than calling in, this call is superior. Has that mature hen sound. With enough manipulation it can also double as a buck grunt! Very durable. Hasn’t frozen up yet which is a shocker. Very loud and powerful.
