Super Sweep 36-Inch Gray Flagged Broom

This is a very sturdy brush. I used this to clean snow off my front stairs after breaking the heaviest-duty broom my local box store had to offer this past winter, and I am so happy with this broom. The bristles are nice and stiff and don't absorb a lot of snow, even when the snow is wet, and the broom handle is not just screwed into the wooden brush base, but is actually welded to a bracket that is held by four screws (you need to put these screws in yourself). The weld seam is probably the ugliest I have seen in a while (maybe my broom was made by a new hire?), but it sure is sturdy. The handle, bracket, and broom are all very heavy duty. The whole assembly has a nice weight to it without being heavy. The handle is capped with a very solid plastic grip - a nice detail. I expect this broom to last for years and years.

Great broom, simple and strong. I have a aluminum fab shop and create a lot of fines and dust, it's nice to sweep without having to stroke with the broom and stir up the dust, this one gets almost all the stuff with a nice single push. Very thick brush and strong handle bracket. People complaining about bristles bending don't take care of their brooms, I never lean it against a wall resting on the bristles, you hang it on a wall and the bristles will stay straight forever. I have a ten year old broom looks like new.

I was amazed at the build quality of this broom. Weighs more than a cheap Chinese knockoff but that extra weight, not only represents USA built the old fashioned way quality, helps in doing the job of pushing gravel, small branches, dirt etc off the driveway and cement patio after a huge wind storm. Encourages you to tackle jobs you would not have thought to apply to a broom. Not a broom to pick up dust from a shop floor (long and stiff bristles are for gravel, thick layers of dirt mixed in leafs and twigs etc). As Consumer Reports and Yahoo Finance says Tools is not a category to go cheap on. You want proof: Buy this extra-heavy duty for heavy duty sweeping jobs.

I purchased the 24-inch version of this broom. I have to agree with earlier reviews that this truly a "super broom" with an amazing build quality to match its price. I immediately ran into the problem that you have to assemble it by driving four wood screws to connect the handle with the broom. This is surprisingly difficult since the handle is angled and the screws provided are not slotted -- you need a 1/4" socket with either a ratchet or power tool to drive the screws. At least the holes are pre-drilled which helps a lot if you are trying to assemble this with just two hands. The two inner screws might be hard to install if your socket and driver are not long and narrow enough to clear the bracket. The handle is very light but the broom end feels very heavy. Pushing it on a rough surface is something of a workout.

This is a nice broom. I use it in my greenhouse. The width of the broom is wide enough that it only takes two sweeps to clean up the floor. The handle is the perfect length and does not unscrew like I've had with other brooms. The fibres are nice and stiff with a little give. It really does do a great job, so much so that my husband keeps stealing it for his shop. Guess I'm going to have to get him one too.

Some of the best money I have spent on Amazon! I wanted a 36" broom and searched it and this one came up. When it came I was very happy just how well it worked. My shop floor is smooth and the broom does a great job of getting the dust up. It ins't too soft though so things don't hang up in it. I have recommended it to another friend who has not bough it and also loves it!!

I'm very glad i talked the boss into getting the shop some of these brooms (24" and a 30" Gray Flagged). We have smooth concrete and have a lot of grindings and dust. Cheap brooms just can't pick it up. The brush is very soft and thick which is a great combo. The only problem I found is that the aluminum handle isn't coated, and after prolonged sweeping without gloves, my hands will turn blackish. Not worth loosing a star over. The welds on the handle might not be the prettiest, but seem to be strong. Overall highly recommended

Excellent broom! The finer bristles on this broom allow for sweeping up the fine dust that blows into the shop from outside. The pole is sturdy and light which is a good design feature since the large broom head has more weight than a normal 24" floor broom. Assembly was simple and only took 5 minutes. So far, we have used two of these daily in a fleet shop without a single problem.
