Whereas the other book appealed across the age range at our setting, this one was definitely of more interest to our younger children, but as they are its intended audience that is not a critisism. The interactive nature of it really appealed to them (and a sneakily slipped in bookmark that enables you to open the book quickly at the 'page after the page they've shut it on to press the colours together' is a definite help in that regard), and it is a really fun way to teach colour mixing. Our older children have really enjoyed reading it to the younger ones too. This and its 'Press Here' companion have been fantastic additions to our little library in that regard: children sharing the pleasure of books, not just by listening to adults read to them, but by engaging and interacting with each other, is a joy to see.
