does it have slot for ipencil?

Don’t think so, I couldn’t even get it on my iPad Pro...... in fact, 3 other adults have attempted with no success. Do not recommend for iPad Pro. Bought one for iPad 2 & it worked great, so was very disappointed that it didn’t fit the pro.

How deep (front to back of kick-stand) is the base when kickstand is in landscape view? i want it to be secure on my kitchen window sill w/o falling

depending on you window seal trim, but if it is standard you will have enough room. But it is right around 3.5" front to back.

if the pencil is in the slot, will it charge?

I did not use a pencil with my case but the charging port is on the bottom so in my opinion the pencil should not having any barrings on he the iPad charges.
