All things considered, it's a good deal
I bought this set with the intent to use its pieces with my 3d printed 'magic track to hot wheels track' adapters so Ican make a huge Hot wheels RC race track. The remote is decent, takes 4AA batteries. The cars are OK, only one is controlled, the other is a follow car. I wish they both drove. The one that does drive seems to go fast enough. I haven't used it long enough to see any issues. The cars don't fly off the track unless you flex the track with a really sharp turn. The track pieces are great and work fantastic with my adapters and subsequently, with my hot wheels track builds. Hot wheels RC cars can drive on them fine. These magic tracks are actually larger (wider) than the standard magic tracks, luckily this set comes with two adapters to allow you to connect these tracks with the standard size magic tracks. So that's great. Although due to the tracks being wider, some hot wheels RC cars might get caught or turned sideways on the flex portion of the track. Which really, unless you're doing what I'm doing and using other kinds of cars on this track, you probably won't have a problem. Unfortunately my set came with a wrong turn piece (as another review here stated happened to them), meaning I only had the ability to build one Bank turn instead of the two that it advertises. Another review said that the green track piece was scratched, mine had the same kind of 'scratch' but it's not actually a scratch so much as it is a part of the track that's inherent. (If I had to guess maybe it was an issue with the form that they used to make the pieces?) But I digress, it's not a major issue and it doesn't affect the way the cars roll. All things considered, for the price you pay for the set, it's not a bad investment. If you're like me and have adapters for hot wheels to magic tracks, buy this because you'll get more unique track parts. Infact I may buy two more just for the green track pieces and bridge pieces. It's unique track pieces for not a lot of money.

Magic Tracks at its Best!
Now THIS is the type of set Ontel should expand on! Unlike traditional Magic Tracks, the tracks here are smaller, as is the scale of the cars, which appear to be 1/64, like a Hot Wheels or Matchbox car. The set features super wide straight and banked curves, as well as your "Serpentine" flexible track. You get one remote, and two cars; one car is remote controlled while the other is a Chase car which drives around the track on its own, with 3 selectable speeds (switch on bottom). The fun and challenge is trying to pass it up while you slow down, speed up or hit Nitro at the right moment. The Chase car, being self controlled, will cling to the outer banks of the track, so sometimes, it's difficult to overtake as you have no control over left and right. The cars move very fast and the RC car has cool engine rev sounds which is a nice touch. Both cars are charged through any USB powered port, and you can charge them simultaneously. Unfortunately, there's no escape from using batteries as 4 AA have to power the actual remote. Ontel was smart enough to include 2 track adapters, so you can attach any standard size Magic Track to this set, to expand the course even further. You can also use your regular Magic Track Cars on this track, though the remote control that comes with this set is only for the included RC car. Ontel NEEDS to sell more cars with remotes separately, so TWO people can race without having to purchase a second set which is just ridiculous, especially at $49.95 which is overpriced to begin with. There's an endless supply of standard Magic Track, Mindscope Twister and Neo Cars, and track, yet this amazing set has none of its own extras. It's obvious, Ontel's cash cow are the large kiddie translucent cars with their flashy lights that have been around much longer and are in many more households. If this set had a some kind of Lap counter, two remotes and two controllable cars, it would be one heck of a competitive race track (though a lap counter without separate laps would be tough). Our next step is to dig out some of our other chargeable cars (like Sizzlers) and see if they run on this set. Overall, a satisfying and interactive racing set with a change of pace (no pun), as opposed to the usual Magic Tracks passive experience.

Third party, no instructions, cars don’t work, Christmas sadness
Came in an unmarked box with no instructions from who knows where. Have to pay $15 to return them, but i am going to do it because they are a rip off. Cars will not pair after charging, remote controller does not work.

Racing car not working
Love the concept and love the overall finished product but the racing car sometimes works sometimes doesn't, seems like the cars casing it getting in the way of the wheels, the pace car is just fine. Would like a replacement car but not sure where to go.

Some of the pieces don’t fit together.
I was really excited as was my three-year-old grandson when he opened it and we had several pieces to put together, but not a ton. But, as we were putting the track together, we noticed that there are pieces that don’t fit and because my grandson wanted to play with it, he wanted to put it together or try to himself and while he was trying to force it on, he broke one of the little parts that should fit together with the other section, but it wouldn’t fit and now it’s broken. I would say that it’s not sturdy enough for little kids to try and put the tracks together, which is kind of problematic because you know they’re gonna take them apart and reconfigure their track so it should be a little more kid friendly I feel.
