This is the second one I have bought even though the first one still works great, I didn’t want to keep taking it everywhere I went. I believe one of the best features is that after your pencil has been sharpened you will feel the blades stop eating away from the wood. That feature alone is worth it for colorists, artists, or hobbyist who put a lot of money into their pencils. The silver knob on the backside can also be adjusted to your point preference. So if you need a sharp point for details you can accomplish that as well as a more blunted point for softer applications. The clear tray pulls out smoothly for shaving disposal and it can be mounted to the desk or shelf. I will point out that the lever on the side needs to be pushed in when loading your pencil into it because this pulls the rubber discs that hold the pencil in place when sharpening back. You never want to force your pencils in always push in lever.
