Fantastic for the $
I bought the hyper reef 150's for my 150 gallon tall. I probably could have gotten away with the 100's, but wanted to be sure I would get the par levels I want at the bottom of the tank. I haven't had a chance to rent a par meter yet, but I'm very happy with my choice. I didn't use the standard mounting hardware, but as it came, it would have been pretty simple to make it work with most tank mounted or standard hanging options. I chose to build a full custom floating hood, and couldn't be happier with how the installation turned out. I almost gave these 4 stars, but it was more an issue with Amazon than the item itself. Someone had clearly tried to install one of the 2 lights that I purchased, and returned it. The mounting brackets were heavily marred, and the item was still sold as new. I wasn't using them, so whatever, but I would have been very disappointed if I was planning on using them. Make sure you purchase the controller. It makes the lights much more tunable, and is well worth the $50.

My Corals are loving g this light
Using the 150 watt light. I have a 30 gallon Aqua Japan AIO aquarium, started 3 months ago. Firstly I noticed a big diffrence in my corals right off the bat. They have extended and all look happy, from my soft corals to my stony corals. Right now i have the white set to 5% and the blue set to 25% to get started. I plan on upping the intesity in a couple days just a notch to see how the corals respond. It seems to fit pretty strudily on the back of my tank, my glass is pretty thick for its small size, however i did use a pvc pipe to help suppourt a little weight and take some of the stress off the glass just in case. However I feel as long as your not pulling or bumping the light its mostly overcaution. I will update this post in a few months to see how they grow. I currently have; 1. Two types of Clove Palm Corals; โข Sunflower Clove โข Fireworks Clove 2. Green Cabbage Leather 3. Green Implosion Paly 4. Orange Monti Cap 5. Three types of Rhodactis Mushroom Corals โข Electric Green โข Orange โข Yellow Claw (blue flesh, green with yellow rim) 6. Kenya Tree Leather (1 big, two small) 7. Toxic Sinularia (bright green) 8. Cornbred's Grafted Setosa Monti 9. Green Pipe Organ Coral 10. Cornbreads Sour Apple Birds Nest 12. Waving Hands Coral 13. Five different types of Zoas 14. Frogspawn/Octospawn lime green 15. Pale Pink Goniopora 16. Green/Pink Wildflower Goniopora

Light died after only 2 yrs
Light suddenly stopped working the other day after 2 years of use and was used at only 40% power. Unless you plan to buy a new light for $250 every 2 years don't waste your money.

Great Lights
The lights and Brackets are well made. The brightness of the lights are excellent . I purchased 2 150 watt for my 90 gallon 48 inch reef tank. I am currently only using a maximum of 65% blue and 45% white currently to see how my corals in my mixed reef react, all is well a week after installation. I would love to give the product a 5 star except for a couple problems . The light bracket would not fit over the edge of my 90g rimmed tank i had to take the adjusting nut off screw to get over tank edge. Near to impossible to put nut back on after bracket is over tank not enough space to hold and thread back on. I never put back on. I used a couple of thin plastic discs to tighten between glass and screw to distribute tension of screw against glass . Be careful not to over tighten it is not necessary. The controller that i purchased works well. Except i found it quite difficult to program and directions enclosed and videos on line are not very specific. I am not real good at tech stuff . I have managed to program 2 separate programs . I will just leave be for now .

***8/19/24 Update*** I Would Probably Get Something Different
**Updated On 8/19/24** I want to change my review from a 1 star to a 5 star as the sellers were great to work with and fixed our lights. We found out there was a 12 month warranty and they helped replace the broken parts. They were quick to respond, courteous, and great to work with. *** We bought two of these in October, and they both died in July not even lasting a full year. I know other people have had better luck, but I canโt recommend anyone buy these based on how expensive they are.

For the price it can't be beat.
I haven't had these for long but in the last three weeks they have been great. I have two of the 150 watts above my 100 gallon tank. It only has three buttons on the top but once you figure out how they work it's pretty easy to get the color you want. You can also get the controller and daisy chain them together but I don't think it's necessary and just adds another wire and controller to the already huge amount that my tank already has. The construction is solid and I don't hear the fans even when I am standing next to my tank. So far all of my corals seem just as happy as when I had my aqua illumination blade that decided to stop working a few months after I got it. Should have just gone with this much cheaper option in the first place. Again great bang for your buck with these lights.

Not Durable.
I purchased the Nicrew 150 watt from Amazon in late Jan. 2024โฆ it is not quite 6 months later.. mid June 2024 My initial impressions were very good. The color and light output are very good and I also bought the Nicrew controller. In a small cube tank (29g) full of corals I kept the setting around 70% most of the day and my corals grew. But I came downstairs a few days ago and the light didnโt come on. Initially I thought it was a power supply issue so I bought another power supply and it didnโt work. Realized it was in the light itself. Feeling disappointed at the short life span of this product I bought a Smatfarm 95 watt on Amazon. I bought the Smatfarm because it was rated slightly higher (4.4 vs 4.2 on Amazon ) and several people ( including a YouTube video ) have documented these lights lasting 2 years and goingโฆ I figured even a year would be better then the 5 1/2 months I got from the Nicrew.

Value for the money
About the lighting, I have no complaints. This light with some small improvements could be a one of the better reef lights. Like having it connect to cell phone via app instead of buying a separate controller. Using a daisy chain for powering two or more units (like Smatfarm). Mounting- If your have a rim on your tank the mounting nuts might interfere with it fitting over the rim. I mounted this on a 120 rimmed tank and there is no way to to get the mount over it. It just need to be widen some. The tank mount for my tank sits a bit too far back for my liking so I was able to get an inch or two buy extending the bracket that goes over the tank. The wire mounting is where I have issues. I wish they wouldn't make them so long. I would to have preferred to hanging with the wires from my canopy but its just too long. Need shorter hanging wires.

Stopped working after couple years.
i like the light but i was hoping it would of lasted longer than 2 years. i think the plug adaptor stopped working the blue light goes on and off same with the light all by it self.

6 month review down to 1 star
6 month update- ongoing issues with Nicer, 1 light came with a power adapter, 1 did not. Nicer said they don't come with adapters and this is an additional $51+ depending on the model, despite the fact that the manual in the box says they DO COME WITH ADAPTERS. Nicer keeps denying it and just wants you to spend more money if I were to I would be in the $400 range so I decided just to spend a bit more and go with the new Aqua Illumination Blades as I know exactly what I will get. They were just okay in the 6 months I had them they kept things alive but the colours are very muted and not what I was expecting - watch the reviews on YouTube they say the same things - ok for growth but not ok for colours. Do what I did and spend a bit more to get a better long-term light. ----------------------------------------- Initially I purchased the 159 watt model and they sent me the 100 watt model that was obviously a return as it was not wrapped nor did it come with a power adapter. I had to buy a new one from Nicrew. Even then the light just seemed blah and not at all what I was expecting especially after seeing all the rave reviews on YouTube., Then I just bought a second light again 100w as the speed is 18"x18" and on my 103 gallon Neptunian cube which is 3 feet by 3 feet they should give me the correct speed as well as it is only 18" deep the par should be slightly higher. The 2nd light arrived, was plugged in to the controller and both now have the same settings. The light ion the left is obviously not working correctly and the one on the right is what I would expect initially. Amazon were great and have resent a new light so all things being equal if they both have the correct brightness I will update this review to a 5 star. Will have to wait and see.

Failed AC Adaptor
Hey everyone my review for this product, lights are good have worked very well for my system specifically. I do believe the AC Adapter are extremely cheap as I bought 3 of these lights alittle over a year ago and all of the AC adapter have failed. Frustrating part is I cannot find replacement ac adapters even on Amazon. If you plan on purchasing the lights they are good quality for the price but the power adapter are terrible. Good luck.

Great light
This light really made my corals liven up! It came in with a corner broken off it, which was disappointing. If it wasnt damaged i woukd gave it a 5 star. It doesn't come with a remote, I tried ordering one but they are out of stock. It does work well, and its keeping my corals happy, so I would recommend this light!
