Dark Sumatra Mandheling
Spectacular dark roast, good quality pricing, for my new exposure to different beans, this is a huge win compared to others so far. The beans have a beautiful quality and shine, there is little to no oil residue on the beans, the scent and aroma from opening the shipping container to the bag itself was delightful. You get all the notes perfectly as described, there is very little if not no acidity, the texture is smooth but filled with rich flavor.

Great coffee, not so great packaging.
I've been buyiing and enjoying this coffee for a few years now. What a surprise I got when on my last delivery. I opened the Amazon shipping box and there was my coffee packaged in the very same container that caused me to drop my last supplier! Tell me it's not true! The ziplock closure is a great idea, but not this version of it. I'll be contacting customer service to let them know my opinion. I would take a pic and share it with you, but I've already cut away the offending closure. But, aside from the new infernal packaging, the coffee tastes great, as usual.

Great taste and aroma
I really like these whole beans, I had a different company that made dark roast Sumatra for many years, but sadly they stopped offering it. I have tried a few other brands, this one is the best tasting replacement I have found, I’m purchasing one 2lb bag a month and I grind a 12 cup pot of beans every morning, I like it strong. If you know coffee you know dark roast has the least acid and the best taste. I like this one so much I finally decided to do the subscription plan through Amazon. I figure the pot of coffee costs roughly 35 cents to make.

Rich, tasty and good
I’ve used Fresh Roasters coffees before and order from them. I’ve used the decaf in the Sumatra and it is as flavorful as this caffeinated one. I like to mix them half and half. Really good coffee. Sumatra is my favorite. Not acidic. Earthy and maybe a little chocolate. Have purchased the kcups as well. Ground and whole bean. Makes a really good pour over coffee as well as drip. My favorite brand.
