Review: Great design, doesn't change color, amazing product - I grabbed this OXO spoon spatula in the Oat color and honestly it's become the thing I reach for every single time I cook. The design just makes sense - it's part spoon, part spatula, and it does both jobs really well. The first thing I noticed was how good it feels in your hand. The grip is soft but not flimsy, and the whole thing has this solid, well-made feel to it. You can tell OXO put thought into this. The silicone is smooth and has a nice weight to it - not too heavy, not too light. It just feels like a quality tool. I use it for everything now. Stirring pasta sauce, scraping the last bit of batter out of a bowl, mixing up scrambled eggs in my nonstick pan without worrying about scratching it. The edges are flexible enough to get into corners of pots and bowls but stiff enough that it doesn't bend all over the place when you're actually cooking something thick. Cleanup is easy too - I just toss it in the dishwasher and it comes out looking brand new every time. No weird smells or oily residue like cheaper silicone utensils I've had before. The Oat color looks clean and fits in with my kitchen without standing out in a bad way. Small detail but I appreciate it. If I had to nitpick, it's a little smaller than some people might expect. It's not a big serving spoon - it's more of an everyday cooking tool. But for what it's meant to do, it's pretty much perfect. Highly recommend

**Q: How does the jar spatula compare to the old one (with black handle)?**
A: The old Oxo jar spatula with black handle is PERFECT, just the right amount of flexibility and a nice size.  In comparison, I thought this new Oxo jar spatula is awful.  It is not flexible and is like a stubby stick.  It is the only Oxo item I have ever returned.  I replaced it with the old Oxo jar spatula with black handle.  It is PERFECT.

**Q: Does this pass a pinch test (meaning it turns white along the edge when folded or pinched)?**
A: Aloha renewtheruins, ummm, not sure what you are asking here.  Edges are flexible, but it doesn't turn "...white along the edge when folded or pinched".  Because you asked, I checked my other silicone spatulas, and none of them turn "white".  Hope that helps and happy cooking!

**Q: Will this jar spatula clean out a soup can good?**
A: Aloha.  If you are talking about a 10.5 oz, regular size can of Campbell's Soup, this spatula will be too large for that.  The spatula blade size is about 5.25" long x 2-11/16" wide; regular size can of Campbell's Soup is approximately 2-5/8" diameter x 4" tall.  I would recommend looking at the smaller sizes of this spatula.  Hope that helps.

**Q: To what temperature is it heat safe?**
A: The silicone jar spatula is safe to use between 350-500 degrees. I myself wouldn’t leave it sit in high heat but to stir heated items, it would be safe.
