First, these are not flimsy plastic posts -- they are solid metal posts. The actual speaker unit is hard plastic but durable. It's very easy to put together and pair with your phone and each other. The charging will require some doing. You need to charge each, and so you should think about getting a multi-port charging adapter with four USB-C charging cables so you can charge these all at once. Otherwise, swapping out a cable will be a pain in the butt. These last around 4 hours on the battery life. I want them to last longer. So I bought a pocket Anker PowerCore 10000mAh Power Bank that does last 8+ hours, and just velcroed it to the top of the unit, and plugged it in, and they last a really long time now, all day and into the night. In our instance, it lasted the whole wedding and all the way through the party afterwards. (BTW, plug the Power Bank in before turning it on, so it draws it down.) I believe you could leave these plugged in all the time, based on my experience with the Power Bank, but I have not tried that. The sound is pretty solid. You won't be blasting these like a huge speaker, but that's not the purpose or ambiance. The handoff from speaker to speaker is 100% synchronized as you walk amongst them -- really solid implementation. I think these are worth the money. I'd like to see solar panels in these so I did not have to charge -- that would be nirvana.

These are not bad sound but not the greatest. If you don't turn the light on, this should go 5 or 6 hours easy. It is nice at night with the light flickering. The stakes are really good and easy to place in the ground. The speaker is at top so the higher you place them,the less sound you hear but with 4 I can hear them almost around my whole yard at max volume and I have a good size yard. I will probably get 2 more for placement.

We like that we can listen to music throughout the house and yard, but they do have little sporadic glitches. One of the 4 glitches more than the other. They seem to work best with line of sight.

I love these things. Easy to connect to my device and to each other. Sound quality is good especially good considering how small they are. Their combined sound is nice as the sound envelopes you. I have them spread out on my outdoor patio and once synced it is pretty cool. I am definitely going to purchase a few more to connect them for more speakers.

2025 Update: I meant to post this update earlier in the year but life took precedence. These torches started out working really well. But like most things I buy, I used precautions to extend the life of the product, I.e., not leaving them outside during bad weather, not leaving them to bake in the sun if they wouldn’t be in use for an extended period, and making sure the charging ports were covered to prevent rust and corrosion. Anyway, I babied these things (2 sets) but they still went south on me! With some, the lights stopped working, some didn’t connect to the others, and some stopped working altogether. Bottom line…they are a nice novelty but be prepared to replace after a year and definitely check before you have a party where you’re expecting them all to work. They connect with each other without a hassle. I bought two sets for my backyard and contemplating a third for a more complete surround sound. Not extremely loud but the more you add, the better the sound gets, if you have a large yard with multiple seating areas!

I bought these last summer, first couple of times we were able to use them was amazing! Music was very clear, and loud. Than it rained one day and 3 out of 4 quit working because the speaker was FULL of water. I did not realize they were full of water and turned them on, and they stopped working. 2 of them will not even power up. Word of advice is remove the speaker from the pole if there is rain in the forecast. Super cool design though.

I put metal covers to shield against the rain and only three survived the rainy season. Battery is not replaceable, so I'll see if it's covered under any warranty, Addendum to original review: one speaker refused to charge. I contacted the company and explained and without any questions, they sent a replacement speaker! Was just out of warranty so they weren't obligated. Great company! The product is great, we love the speakers, setting them up was easy, maintenance is none and the company behind the product is outstanding. I give them six stars out of five!
