Quality and success
This is one of the best pectin products I have used. Always consistent in quality and reliability. With the time and cost in n add king jams and jellies, you want a reliable product. The Surejel product has been iffy in the past year or so with unexplained failures to jell. This product is a sure thing!

Love it.
Ok, I didnt want to keep buying the little boxes of pectin for the price they were and how much I can. I read that this brand says to use 6 tablespoons per one box of pectin the recipes call for. Did that and my jelly didnt set to jelly it was still runny so I reheated and added 6 more (so 12 tablespoons total) and then it became super set (hard but mixable) jelly. Im still playing with it. I understand the differences in sure jel pectin (low sugar and what not) and someone will have something to say ALWAYS but find what you like and you will find a product that works for you. I love this stuff and the amount for the price. I have used it for 2 jams and 2 jellies so far and it works for me. Versus the amount of money to buy those little boxes.

THIS STUFF IS AWESOME
I’ve been so disappointed with the small box pectins. My jams and jelly’s haven’t been setting. I also noticed they are now using bio engineered ingredients (fake food).I decided to try this but I wasn’t quite sure how much to use. I read a bunch and went for it. I’m going to share what I did for my grape jelly because it set PERFECTLY! I hope this will save someone some time!1/2 c pectin5 cups grape juice2 Tbs lemon juice5 cups sugarBring juice, pectin and lemon juice to a soft boil. Add sugar and return to a soft boil. Let cool and add to containers.I let my jelly sit overnight and by morning it was set. Give it a little time and I promise it will set. I was worried it wouldn’t because it was runny several hours after I made it. But letting it sit over night, by morning it was perfect!!

The Best Pectin ever!!!
Highly recommend Hoosier Farm Fruit Pectin. I was looking for a way to save money this year making my berry jams and jellies. A name brand box of fruit pectin can cost around $5.00 and that’s for just one batch of jam/jelly. I can get 16 batches from Hoosier Farms 2# bag at about $1.37 per batch. And this pectin rocks!! I got three flats of raspberries and made jam. The pectin blended nicely in the berry pulp and set up perfectly for the best raspberry jam ever. Blackberry jelly is next on my list and I’ll be using Hossier Farms Fruit Pectin for sure!!!!

Worked perfectly

Not at all happy.
I had no successful results using this pectin. I was using the boxed pectin, but it was becoming costly, so i ordered a bag of Hoosier Hill. The jelly would not set, even after emptying runny jars, and repeating the process using more pectin. Ive tried weighing the pectin (1.75 oz, the equivalent of a boxed pectin) and Ive tried measuring it (1/3 cup per 7 half pint recipe). Even repeating the process, using double the amount, did not work. I followed direvtions to a T and used a candy thermometer to make certain the temperature was right. I can only assume the pectin was bad.

Good deal
This product is good for thickening Jams and Jellies and the 6 lb bag is the best

Good
Worked well for a low-sugar jam. Will repeat

over-inflated price, decent product though
I've used this product several times over the past 2-3 years. It has always worked good for me and I have not complaints about the product itself. However, the price is now ridiculous. When I bought it before, it was around $23-$26 or so per 2lb bag. That was reasonable and was a little better value than the individual grocery-store certo packs. Now, at $76 or so dollars for the same bag it is 100% a complete overpriced ripoff. Just go to your local store and buy the individual packs for $2.50-$3 each. Poor decision Hoosier Hill, definitely lost me as a customer.

Disappointed ☹️
I made grape jelly using their recipe and it produced a hard almost un-spreadable jam. The taste was… meh. I did a side by side comparison with making a certi liquid pectin and that produced a firm but soft spreadable jelly. The taste was grapier too.
