Remove or reduce any water sources. 1) VACUUM THOROUGHLY BEFORE SPRAYING. 2) In a bucket Mix 3 cups per gallon hot (NOT BOILING) water mix till everything is dissolved. This will help in product getting deep into the carpet. Mix only enough you can spray before the solution cools as it can clog the sprayer. 3) Spray the carpet wall to wall, until damp. No need to soak carpets as boric acid is active when dry. Test on furniture (hidden fabric) to make sure it wont stain anything. Keep in mind that spray will dry to a whitish film on solid surfaces that can be cleaned after insects are gone or left behind to prevent re-infestation. Solid floors apply a light dusting or stream spray along the baseboards just enough to make wet. DO the same for cabinets and other hiding places. 4) Make sure to completely rinse your sprayer after using with hot water.
