Works great on my 2004 hyundai. I had a check light come on as my battery had to be recharged. After disconnecting the battery for a full recharge the check light came on for a misfire. The codes I'm interested in are the ones dealing with the emissions. I drove the car around doing errands and to reset the computer. I put this tester on the and checked the emissions, everything was green so I went to smog station and the car passed. Nice product as it has the capability to remove codes.

Original review- I did not test the OBD functions, just the battery function. I tested this against two other Foxwell units and a third different brand. The NT301 does not perform battery tests well. Not very accurate. All comparatively tested against 3 other units. If you want an idea about your battery it’s ok. If you want very accurate results for your battery, get a different product

I was taking my Jeep to an auto parts store to get diagnostic readings. I wanted one to be able to check either of our vehicles, whenever a problem arises. Definitely worth the money. Very easy to read and use. Also comes with battery testing cable to attach to reader.

Works great. Have owned for several years now, saved me a fortune in diagnostic fees from the auto shop.

This tool is a great buy and has a lot of features in a small device. You can scan codes, search codes, clear codes, and more. It also has a information section available providing you with details to what the codes mean and possible repairs needed. (It doesn't recommend repairs. It only list possible failures within the vehicle. Ultimately it will need to be looked at by a professional.) This is great for many people needing to scan their cars quickly rather than go to the shop or is unable to go to the shop right away. Check engine lights can be scary for many but with this you can scan and find out if it is something that should concern you or if it's something that can wait until next month when you can save a little to go to the shop (not all check engine light means disaster). Note: I don't live in a state that requires vehicles to pass smog so I did not tinker with that. Highly recommend this for everyone! Downside to this product are the buttons. The membrane keys used for this product is very squishy and can get the buttons stuck. It can get easily unstuck and it doesn't affect the function of this device but something to be aware of.

Great Product

Seen a few of these over the years, some give basic information (a code you can look up on line) and some with a bit more detail. This one gives quite a bit of detail from code for the problem to actually identifying what the problems could be. Easy to use, literally plugged in and it started up, menus are easy to use, and you can clear the fault from the system after you sort it, or in my case the problem had cleared itself (had a miss fire after putting a fuel cleaner in), but left the engine light on, of which is all I had to do was to reset it, which would stop the £80+ a time people seem to have to pay to get errors cleared with no real diagnosis from the garage as to why. Obviously if it happens again (which could mean injector or coil problem) I will take it to get it checked at a garage, but no matter what, it's paid for itself already.

Amazing device. Works perfectly well once you get used to it. But very careful of the pins on the scanner so u don’t damage them. I almost damaged mine but it’s all good now
