When you tighten the collar to your dogs neck size, does it stay at that size, or slip loose?

I have had no problem with the collar coming loose around my dog's neck. He is an extremely active dog and runs through a lot of brush and under barbed wire, and the collar has stayed the same size. I'm very pleased with it.

What size should i get for a pitbull xlarge or large

My dog is 70 pounds. I bought a large. His neck is 18-20 inches. There is plenty of room for expanding the collar if he should need it. So, depending on the size of your dog (measure his neck), I would probably recommend the large.

What size should I get for my chiweenie?

I would measure your dog's neck allowing enough slack to fit two fingers between the neck and measuring tape. Then look at the dimensions for the collar sizes and pick the midpoint dimension closest to your measurement. If the measurement falls at the longest dimension of one or the shortest of the next larger size, I would go for the larger. You don't want it to be too tight. Especially on smaller dogs, collars are best for id tags and harnesses are better for attaching leashes. My Havanese has this collar and a separate harness for walks.
