We have two variants: Medium and Large size Kallu- Both recommended for making Dosas, Chapattis, Parathas, Adai, Akki Roti, etc. The Large Kallu is recommended for large families to make as many dosas as possible without overheating the Tawa. Then I wiped the excess oil and stored the pan without washing. While using for the first time, do not wash again, make a dosa out of old/new batter and dispose the first dosa.. Mine worked perfect!!! Also the tawa is 12" with handle it is 14".
