Genuine Hyundai 93860-39012 Backup Lamp Switch Assembly

I have included before and after pictures here. The part arrived as expected and by all appearances, is an exact match. I installed it and it worked correctly the first time. Yay! One thing that made installing this part somewhat challenging is that the "nut" portion of the casing, where you would use a tool to extract or install, is a larger size than is common. It's the same as the OEM part. The OEM just designed it with a large diameter. I purchased a 24mm socket just for this project. I have several inexpensive socket sets and they all have a 21mm socket as the largest socket. In addition to it being 24mm, you have to use a DEEP 24mm socket. I did try using a wrench, but as you can see, there's not a lot of room to work. And I needed to use a breaker bar to get the old backup lamp switch out.

Got the part for a 2005 Hyundai Tucson with diesel engine and it worked. I used the "This fits" feature from Amazon, however, it does not have the diesel engine category and ordering parts not always fit. This part did fit and works well. Thanks.

Fits exactly as the OEM part for my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon and for a cheaper price! I didn’t give this 4 stars because I’m not sure how long the part will last. But, my reverse lights started turning on again!

Does not work for 2004 Tiburon 6-speed, threads are far too small. Says it fits but believe me, it doesn't. Returned.

The item looks like a high-quality part, so it should be good for a long time.

You need a 24mm deep socket to remove old one and install new one. 10mm socket to remove an air filter housing.
