Brilliant quality.
Usual brilliant Opinal quality. Will make sure I look after this one better and not lose it. Last one was a favourite. I had had it over forty years and it was still going strong. They hold their edge really well well.

Great locking mechanism and feels great in the hand
I volunteer at a Botanical Garden and use this all the time. Great locking mechanism and feels great in the hand. a classic for a reason. I have bought additional one for gifts and to have a selection.

Bought this as a present for my Dad who uses it at his allotment. Also a great fishing knife.

It's an Opinel!
Iconic is an overused word, but these simply designed knives deserve it. Very sharp out of the packaging and easy to maintain that sharpness. You need to regularly oil an Opinel and give it some TLC but it will reward you with excellent service until you drop it over the side of a boat like I did with my last one! There is not a better value for money pocket knife available but be aware, due to the locking collar, I believe it's technically illigal for every day carry in the UK. Mine is carried in my rucksack whilst camping so unless PC Plod is being really silly it should be fine.

handy knife
Handy little knife that fits in your pocket. For mushroom picking, baler twine cutting (of course! :-) ) and many little cutting jobs. Good quality, light and it has a safety lock

Very Good Pocket Knife
Cheap but it doesn’t feel that way, the blade keeps its edge.

No.6 perfect for smaller hands
the number 6 is the perfect size if you have small hands. Get the size up for medium hands. This is my favourite knife of all time and has been a great companion. You won't regret it!

Great knife. Choose correct Optinel size and type though
What can you not like about this knife? It is an affordable and acceptable carry. with a great edge. Some people like stainless steel, some prefer the classic carbon knife. "You are simple", I always say. "these are all great and cheap. Buy one of each and then fight!" It is around that point I get asked to leave knife debate club, but it's a good argument. A great knife.

Damaged packaging
Packaging looked like someone ripped it open, even though the Amazon delivery box was intact… The knife looks new and as expected. I had a carbon steel Opinel knife before but lost it so this one is a replacement.

Frischholz.
