Is this “crinkly” like most water proof blankets???

I know exactly what sound you’re talking about and no, this blanket does not do that. It’s very quiet, like a typical blanket. My dog sleeps on my bed and she sleeps on this blanket. It’s not noisy at all.

Does dog hair come off easily in the washer or does it stick?

I haven’t had issues with hair sticking after washing.

Would it work well for personal use as an patio furniture throw? It doesnt absorb water?

The out layer absorbs water, there is a layer in between that doesnt allow the water to seep through. If you are meaning to use it on damp patio furniture it may work with dampness from dew or light rain it should work well, but for soaking wet furniture cushions it may not work as well.

does this absorb the liquid or does the liquid just pool on top? thanks

The liquid will soak through to the waterproof membrane and stop there. It doesn’t float on top like liquid on a plastic tarp. The liquid does not go to the other side. I wash on warm and add an enzyme-based deodorizer with detergent, and dry on medium. These are a great purchase and my dogs love them!
