Yes the seal is good enough that you have to work at lifting the lid. But it's not an impossible task and I'm very pleased with how well this is kept sliced quiches and other frozen meals.

I dont know what the world people are talking about. These containers are super great, the perfect sizes and the lids snap on with no issues at all. I love them. They are definitely liquid spillage proof also with the seal on the lid. I would highly recommend them…

I would say it’s pretty good value for a six pack. After using the 33oz containers for 18 months. I’m retiring them today and this is what it looks like after weekly use for 18 months. I’m happy that they are dishwasher safe. I usually put the lid in the microwave as well. but if you’re gonna do that, make sure that you leave a crack because it can create a airtight space and the lid would be really hard to open.

I was eagerly awaiting the new pieces but am so disappointed. It was as if Sistema decided to compete with the cheaper knock offs of their products by creating even crappier items to replace them. They are filmsy, the lids don't fit, and two of my six piece set are broken. They made the handles smaller and they are hard to snap into place. The plastic is flimsy and bends easily. It is a fight to get many of the.lids to sit straight. The piece inside the lid that was used to create a seal no longer seals. Absolute crap and not worth it even if you get them for free.

I have two other Sistema food storage items and they are fantastic. This one is large enough for storing cereal which is great since I tend to ruin the bags the cereal comes in when first opening. It keeps the food fresh, it is super easy to clean, and I love the contoured grip which makes pouring the cereal super easy and mess free.

I have 4 different flours in these containers as well as 4 cereals. A latch broke on one container but the rest are holding up great. There are two latches on each container and the one container that has a broken latch still hold shut with the other latch...not ideal but I'm still using it! I will continue to buy them as the need arises. I like the rectangular shape, they stack neatly on the shelf. They hold the family size cereal boxes and almost a five lb flour sack.

Latches are less sturdy than expected. The 2 little plastic clips that hold the latches are fragile. In fact, one was broken off on a long side of the 2.2L container when they arrived. Not sure yet how well it will work only semi attached.

I have a lot of Sistema containers. They're great but I am not a fan of these ones with the locking clips on the lid. All of my others have the clips on the base, which makes them easy to fasten especially if the container is not full. That is trickier for these new ones as the sides will push in and the clips won't catch. I also received one set that was missing a clip on the side of one of the lids. I see that there are still some of the others sets available, so I will probably get one of those. I was most interested in the 2L container, which is why I got this pack of three. They do the job, I just prefer the clip on the base in the older model.
