Chess Set - 16" King

I obviously wish they were less expensive or that my budget allowed for the tallest size, but the actual product is great. Comments commented on how thin and light the pieces are (I was picturing that really thin plastic used to make toy bowling pins), but the pieces are more substantial than that. They wouldn't stay up during a strong wind, but we played outside with a breeze and the pieces were stable. I didn't purchase one of the tarp boards but instead used vinyl floor tiles to create a temporary board that could be stacked up and put away. (This is a heavy option that needs a bit more storage than would a tarp, but I liked the look of it and thought it would work much better for the pieces standing up if played on grass, etc. I left the peelable paper on the backs of the tiles which made them slip a little on the carpet. Next time I might add a carpet mat liner beneath, but that has nothing to do with the actual chess pieces.)

The chess and checker sets are perfect. Great quality.

I purchased the small set. Well made, however too small. The larger ones I’ve purchased prior also screwed together in two pieces allowing us to add sand to weight them down.

Absolutely love these pieces!! We initially thought the giant sets were over priced but after looking and considering each piece comes out around $7 each this is a pretty good deal! Wish there was a hole with a plug so you could fill with sand but other than that they are perfect!

The chess pieces are light and topple over. Missing 2 of the pieces. Refund takes too long and can't contact the seller directly to get an update.

The pieces worked fine on my 16'x 16' outdoor board. Would be nice if they were a little heavier so the wind didn't toss the around and they stood more upright in the grass.
