Black Swan Stay Soft Plumbers Putty, 14oz - Crack-Resistant, Ideal for Sink Drain, Faucets & Fixtures, Stretchable Plumber Putty

I've got two different applications for it. Since it remains pliable, I used it on my bathroom shower, to affix the flange which surrounds the shower head pipe. These flanges are typically just slid up to the wall and in time slide away from the wall. A big gob of this inside the flange and pressed to the wall does a great job of keeping it in place. Second, I used a tiny dab of it over the small light on my ceiling smoke detectors to block the light. I like to sleep in absolute pitch dark, and the light emanating from the detector was bright enough to be a night-light, projecting a circular ring of light onto the floor. You just need the tiniest bit of putty, wipe away any remaining from the surface and you don't even notice it. Others have told be about adhesive stickers, but they are larger and may fall off with time.

Good stuff, used for a disposal install. Worked great. No leaks on the first try, very mold-able and easy to work with.

Good Sealant, but Watch the Consistency This plumber’s putty does its job well for sealing sink drains, faucets, and small plumbing fixtures. The container is a good size for household or rental property use, and the putty itself is soft, pliable, and easy to mold into place without much effort. It holds its shape and doesn’t crumble, which makes for a neat, clean application. That said, I did notice that the consistency can vary—sometimes it feels softer and easier to stretch, while other times it can be a bit firmer, requiring more hand warmth to get it workable. It seals fine once applied, but it’s something to be aware of if you’re expecting uniform texture every time. Also, unlike silicone, this isn’t meant for high-pressure or underwater repairs—it’s really best for fixture seals. Bottom line: A reliable, easy-to-use plumber’s putty for everyday sink and faucet installs, but keep in mind that consistency may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Great stuff

Worked perfect for diy install for new sink drains. I used something else on one sink and it was such a pain. This stuff sure makes the install process so much easier and cleaner. Any residual putty easily cleans up. So much easier to work with I should have had this on hand sooner. A++

While the description says it’s white , the tub I received was medium gray . Not happy with gray putty around a drain in a white sink . Would not recommend

It’s plumbers putty.. you really have to crap the bed to get it wrong…

Does what is should do, color is not WHITE and packaging is careless with no attention to details.

I don’t know about you but I hate springing a leak. No there’s no need to worry in the future as all my pipes will be well secured from any leakage or spillage. It’s simply a brilliant product. I bought it specifically to seal some plumbing hoses under the bathroom sink which kept leaking. The instructions are clear, it is easy to use and comes in a handy plastic tub.
