Great bulb, in flickers a little at lower settings when you dim it but it works for us

False claim on being dimmable on AC, False claim on being Flicker free. Not as bright as other 3W led bulbs. Shouldn’t have been described for use on AC power. No longer useful for me, back to halogen and more reputable brands.

Great replacement for halogen bulbs. very nice bright light without causing burns on my hand. The halogens were so hot I was not comfortable leaving them on unattended. These barely get luke warm. Less power and safer.

Update after a week: Mrs. Dr. Bob decided that these are just too dim and too yellow to use in the range hood pucks, so we are going back to halogen until we find a suitable LED replacement. We have only two places in the whole house that have incandescent or halogen bulbs, and those are over the stove and the surrounding kitchen island lighting. I'll be looking again when another halogen bulb gives up. :( Original review: Target use for these here was to replace the 20W G4 halogens in the range hood over the stove. The description for these LED bulbs suggests that they are "equivalent to a 30W" bulb, but I have a differing opinion. I replaced the single burned-out bulb in the hood, leaving three original halogens up there for a demo. Didn't look as bright. Thought maybe it was due to the 'warm white' color temperature, so replace the good three with the LED's. They just don't generate the same total light. :( The remaining good news is that these also fit our landscaping lights, where the slightly lower output won't be an issue. In the meanwhile, I'll be carefully shopping for brighter bulbs for the range hood. These bulbs came well packaged, and include built-in diodes and current regulation needed to let them work directly in 12V AC sockets. So they will be good in our transformer-based 12V landscaping fixtures.

They blink when dimmed and some don’t last long

Perfect on our boat-warm light and perfectly dimmable. As I read some of the negative reviews for these bulbs, it is evident folks didn’t read the description: these are 12-volt bulbs. They work perfectly on my 12-volt boat. Would be fine on a 12-volt RV. Or a household installation of low voltage lighting with a 12V output. They worked perfectly in our boat. No failures yet (I installed 6 bulbs of the 10-pack) and zero flicker at all dim ranges. The guy who complained they didn’t last in his microwave clearly bought the wrong bulb! (hint: your U.S. microwave runs on 120V). Also note that each bulb uses 3W at max brightness. The 3-30watt rating for this pack of 10 assumes all 10 bulbs x 3 watts each. Less wattage at lower dim levels.

Ich habe meine Erstrezension grundlegend überarbeitet. Das Flimmern des Lichts ist behoben, in dem ich eine Halogenlampe mit vier der Ledleuchten installiert habe. Hierdurch arbeitet der Trafo der Lampe wieder korrekt.

not very bright compared to the original halogen that it replaced. Chose these ones because the LEDs were all on the same side and didn't rely on the reflector. Carefully installed three of them in the same fixture that one halogen came out of. They make a little bit of noise.

Die LEDs sind etwas heller als 10W Halogenbirnchen und auch als warmweiß leicht blauer als diese. Beim Dimmen fällt der Unterschied extrem auf. Zudem beginnen die Birnchen dann zu flackern. Dabei werden sie extra als dimmbar beworben. Fazit: Nicht so hell wie angegeben, werden beim Dimmen nur mäßig dunkler und behalten ihre eher normalweiße Farbe, Flackern beim Dimmen.

They looked great when first installed. Then about 3 weeks later some are failing without any reason. If they all fail in the near future I’ll adjust my post
