Replaced this for the dryer samsung model: DV42H5000EW/A3It has a plastic ring on the edges which made the job so much easier because it slide around the 4 inch vent without much effort. As you turn the key, the fastener tightens... eventually it will fit tight around the vent so don't get confused.

I bought this duct for my dryer to replace the all aluminum one bought from Lowes. The all aluminum one was a real pain to install and then it did not stay in place. The all aluminum one was difficult to install over the vents, it cut my hands, and once expanded would not readily return to the compressed form.This flexible duct was great. It readily went over the vent on the dryer and the vent to the outside of the house -- the outside one was not a perfect circle shape. The PVC material readily went over the vents and then allow the clamps to secure into place. The PVC material was also great because it did not easily cut my hands. Finally, the duct behaved like a "Slinky". You could easily expand it and when you let it go it readily return to the compressed form. I could easily shape the duct in order to fit between the dryer and the wall.Great Product.

the clamps that it came with are VERY useful, and VERY difficult to spin shut. The little grip it gives you to turn hits on itself, and it's painful. However once its on, it does work, and its sturdy, so I can't complain. Can't beat the price, so I have no real complaints.

These are good vent hoses and are more flexible than rigid aluminum hoses, however, the clamps that come with these hoses use a butterfly thumb screw rather than a simple single-slot screw. Starting the clamp tightening is difficult (and hurts your fingers). I found the best way it to hold the butterfly with a pliers and spin the hoop around until it's close to the size of the hose. Then tighten by finger. It's easier after it's been worked in.

After returning a dryer vent I purchased at a home store because it was cheaply made and impossible to install, I bought this one. With the help of my grandson who is visiting, we had this one installed quickly. It is much stronger and goes on perfectly. I give me approval for this one to anyone who needs a new dryer vent.

The vent dryer attachment was easy to assemble. It was made of good quality.

The vent did not work with my dryer, I was looking to replace my current vent and the dryer would only run for about 5 minutes before before showing an error code on the panel showing that something was wrong with the vent or filter. Aside from this it was also hard to twist the screw to tighten the ends.
