Churu Bites for Cats, Soft Baked Chicken Churu Filled Cat Treats with Green Tea Extract, 0.35 Ounces Each Tube, 24 Tubes Total, 4 Flavor Variety

As you might have guessed from the title of the review, I use to deliver pills to one of my cats. Greenies' Pill Pockets served this role for years, but they kept changing the product to the point where the cat would only eat the first few servings out of the bag (not sure if the problem was the bag or the food). The Churu Bites are not necessarily designed for feeding cats pills, but they work quite well for this purpose because they have a soft gooey center inside of a flavorful encasing. It can be a little messy because when push the pills in, the goo comes out the other side - and it helps to reapply the goo from the bottom back on top of the pill so that it is completely enclosed. Both cats happily gobble these up whenever they are presented. The odor is enough to stir my lazier cat out of her slumber to consume them. Unlike some other treats I have tried in the past, the cats always eat them and eat them immediately. And immediacy is important when you are providing a single cat medications in a multi-cat household. The packaging is designed to keep the food fresh. Each plastic bag contains 3 individual foil like packages. Neither the individual packages nor the plastic bag they come in are resealable, so you probably want to at least close the open individual pack with a paper clip or put it in a sealed container if you do not plan to use it all at once. Open packs also need to be refrigerated. The number of treats in each individual package can vary. This is because the product is sold by weight and there is some variability in the size of the individual treats. This can necessitate having an extra bag of the product on hand if you depend on having a certain count available. These are fairly expensive for cat treats, but they are competitively priced when compared to Greenies Pill Pockets and other healthier cat treats. INABA makes some claims about the healthiness of the treats. The ingredients are generally quite good for a cat treat. One claim they make is that the treats are low-calorie. And they proclaim that their 13 kcals per piece is low. That might be true for cat treats in general (I did not compare all the treats), but 13 kcals itself is not considered to be a low-cal snack. The goal should be less than 10. For me, this is five-star product because my goal is to get my cat to eat her medications. And on that front, the INABA Churu Bites perform spectacularly well. So, I am giving it 5 stars. If I was rating it for a cat treat, I would go with 4 stars largely because the packaging is not convenient.

my cat adores these. i use them to hide his daily allergy medicine and what used to be a 15 minute process of me trying and failing to disguise his medicine in churu squeeze tubes and wet food and my cat spitting out the medicine, is now a 2 second process of me shoving the medicine in the middle of the treat while my cat literally begs me, constantly meowing as soon as he hears me grab the package, for the treat and medicine. this has saved my life and my sanity and my cat no longer has daily allergy attacks. thank you churu bites 🫶

As far as I understand, the ingredients are pretty good, and my cats go crazy for these treats. They love all kinds of Churu products, and I regularly buy different varieties for them. This specific variety is perfect for me because I use it to hide pills. I don’t know why they still haven’t made more palatable medications for animals — for example, Drontal is a huge, very bitter, and smelly tablet. With these treats, my cats swallow such pills easily without stress. Great product.

My cat loves these and she eats them enthusiastically every time I give them to her. The only problem I have is the smell is horrendous and they feel wet and cold in your hands and I don’t like it, however my cat loves them so I will continue to purchase them as long as she likes them.

I always order these in bulk as my cat cannot leave them alone. He's only 3 years old but due to his previous ownership he has no teeth and he severely abused but he loves these he can eat them they're soft enough that he can chew them and enjoys them immensely the flavors are outstanding also

These are amazing as pill pockets! My cat is not used to large treats, so I cut them in half. I scoop out a bit of the soft center, add the pill, and cover it with what was scooped out. I wait until I know he is hungry, give that “treat”, then immediately follow with other treats he loves (actually just dry kibble) to make sure he has swallowed the pilled treat. So, although these are expensive, you can go through them quite slowly using this method. Note: I had cut a bunch of them in half and put in a closed container. After a few days there was white mold all over them. Now as soon as I open a package it goes in the fridge. No more mold. I think they are just too moist to be at room temperature once opened.

My 1 cat is addicted to these. The other... does not care for them. Luckily the one that likes it is the one I have to hide a pill on and this works better than anything else I tried, by a lot!

My cats love it. I have a hyperactive cat, she usually runs away after smelling treats. I just tap some of the cream from this treat on her nose and she eats the whole thing right up
